Payero Tweet

The Argentinian transfer window opens in 5 days on the 16th of May and their season starts on the 5th of June.

It would probably make sense if Payero was going back there.

Their league only runs till October too, not sure if you can do half season loans there with their season running at different times to ours, but if you could, it could get him valuable game time and allow him back here in August.

I mean you would assume he would go back home for the summer break.. he can’t be off.. can he?

I really don't see him as a wilder type player. Granted we've not really seen enough of him and he might develop/adapt to his training and style of play but I don't think he's strong enough defensively to play the Howson role and don't think he is dynamic enough out of possession in either of the "number 8" roles for wilders liking. Its a shame as he is clearly a talented footballer, just wrong club wrong time it seems.

Although I'm in no way condoning it, if he'd played as one of the front two over a season I'm very confident he'd score and assist more than Balogun and Connolly.

It isn't very strange for him to go back to Argentina however not sure why he tweeted like he did. Surly he could of just posted pic of him in plane saying homeward bound

Clock and prayer hands… footballers always use two emoji’s on social media when they’re about to sign for a new club!

He's maybe stuck in the security chaos and praying he doesn't miss his flight / connection?

I hope we keep him. However judging by the fleeting glimpses we’ve seen he won’t be missed by what we’ve seen and his overall contribution

The only time his family visited was the new years game where he got on at the end for a grand total of 1 minute.

Really not arsed if he stays or goes to be honest. There's a bit of talent there but is there enough to make a significant impact on the Championship for the £4 mil plus price tag. No i don't think so.

I know its a new country and must be very difficult to transition, but he hasn't exactly busted a gut or shown much promise, apart from a couple of minute cameos. I think we should cut our losses and work with what Wilder wants. He may yet come back to Europe - Spain and do well, but don't think he will have any impact in the Champo with Boro. Looks like a Gibbo/Leo signing.
