Tav and Payero were decent first half but they were both much better after they moved inside. Before then, you could see them both getting stuck out wide with restricted options. The move inside and Jones coming on allowed them to turn and see what was available across the whole pitch.
Payero is close to being a dominant creative midfielder I think. He just needs to impose himself on games a bit more and I think that will come with games and confidence. Sooner or later he will smash one in the top corner. I’d be putting him on all of our free kicks because his delivery is far better than Tav’s.
