Patrick Roberts - Should we just cancel his loan deal?

We won’t have a choice come January, City will recall him due to lack of game time and he will probably end up doing well at another club, the lad needs a few games to get up to speed not 5-10 mins every third game.

That's got to be possibility

Yes, he should go back. There's no reason to be paying him.

Get a forward or forwards instead and play them.

What's the point of him being here if he cannot get in front of Saville Tav or Wing. FFS he must be foundering WTF.

If he can’t get in front of Wing in the pecking order he must be rancid. On £39k per week according to those online footie sites.

Feel sorry for the lad to be honest. You just know he will request to have his loan terminated soon and will go to either Celtic or another Championship team and do well.
Much as I think Warnock has done a good job overall I think he's got it wrong with Roberts. I don't think he actually wanted him back but he should do the decent thing and tell Roberts that it's for the best if he leaves now.

Does anyone feel Asif it was City who actually wanted this deal more than us? I remember Warnocks wording at one of his press conferences, it was something like ‘ City only want to send him to one place and that’s here’ from that moment I did think we were only taking him as we were offered him rather than actually wanted him or had any plans for him in the team. The way this season is unfolding makes me think this even more. Can only go one of two ways now, either play him and trust him or cut his loan short.

This bringing him on for 10 mins every couple of games is doing no one a favour, he’s not gonna be able to much in that time and it’s probably just frustrating him even more.

I did get the impression that Roberts wasn't Warnock's first choice. Also he comments about putting the club first, I feel may have been directed at Roberts (maybe reading too much into that one) He likes his wingers to defend and at the moment we don't so were struggling to fit Roberts in.
