Counter productive? Raises 3'6d and creates a hazard.Yes. You should see the number of cars parked on the road now
Yes and if you want to rent some of that space to store your private property for a few hours you are going to have to pay.But aren't you paying for the park with your council tax
They'll be able to BUY a permit - £25 for the first car and £40 for any others for the privilege of parking outside your own house. If they live there they will have a permit?
Why is that, not a fan of democracy?
Have you seen how stretched councils have become, how many functions have stopped since we moved to central government taking over rate setting?
Previously Business Rates were collected locally but returned to central govt & then redistributed via grant to Local Authorities. Many parts of London have low council tax charges, particularly central London boroughs.
One reason is the high level of business rates collected as there are many paying businesses in a small area - relative to the number of residential properties.
yup.. dont know how they got away with it.. I though Clairville common was left for the people of MIddlesbrough for sporting activities.Council sold it off
is it? why was so much spent of clairville before it was torn down then? The sports village is better though isn’t it?
Clairville stadium was old and falling down, required Millions spent on it, Mallon- who was mayor at the time decided that a new stadium was better and cheaper, so the stadium was sold for housing and the new Sports Village was built with the proceeds.yup.. dont know how they got away with it..
