Parcel delivery scam ??

Ask yourself the obvious question. Have you ordered anything that hasn’t arrived? If so, chase it up with who you bought it from. They can sort it out. If not, then obviously it’s a scam. On the off chance that someone has sent you something you don’t know about, then it will be returned to them eventually anyway and you’ll be none the wiser!

Have you actually missed any parcels being delivered?

Surely you must know the status of everything you have ordered?

Confirmation emails/texts on your order, expected delivery date, out for delivery?

I got an email from "Evri" saying they had tried to deliver a parcel, but I wasn't in [which I was] and would charge me £5 "redelivery charge".
Received same email next day.
Lots of links in dodgy looking email.
Binned it.

Always check the email from the sender, that'll normally give away 99% of scammers. Grammar, spelling etc is usually pretty poor. They always have some urgency required to direct you to a hyperlink.

If you are ever in doubt, look for your original delivery confirmation and then go to their website via Google and check for yourself the status of your delivery.

It's Christmas, and a lot of people are ordering online so it's prime time for scammers.

I've had a couple of these over the last few months. God knows where they got my number from.

It's usually pretty obvious as I've not ordered anything. I imagine it could be a bit of a mare to anyone not as vigilant or someone who has ordered a package. They do look pretty 'legit'.

I just block them. Yet eventually message me off another phone. It's usually obvious as a +44 mobile number. The royal mail wouldn't message you off a random mobile.

Interestingly Santander emailed me yesterday on this very subject. Just saying to be vigilant and what to look out for. Unless that was a scam email 😂

Just had an email from a Nigerian prince promising me untold riches if I send them a few grand to sort out a few unforeseen expenses and a bit of red tape.

Anyone know what to make of it?
That one sounds like it’s probably legit 😜👍🏻

I had a text from Evri last week about a missed delivery which coincided with an actual delivery that needed ID. The text took you to what looked like a genuine Evri site to rebook the delivery. It was only when it asked for a £2 fee that the penny dropped and I googled to find it’s a big scam at the minute where they process the £2 then attempt a much larger amount a couple of minutes later.
Very clever scam and I’m convinced some on line traders are selling customers details to the scumbags.
Almost as annoying as the Virgin Media pop ups on here

I am a courier for evri we don’t do that

Had a parcel delivered a few weeks ago from Amazon when I was out. The card in the passage said that it was round the back of the house. Searched for ages then found it… in the blue rubbish bin!

Of course it’s a scam, if they cant deliver a parcel, they scan the parcel and a delivery note, which they will then post through your door. 👍🏻
Exactly what DHL do. Normally get 3 attempts then it's up to you to collect from the depot.

I didn't say you did.
I'm replying to the post about scams.
Somebody was using Evri as a header for a scam email, so hopefully that's useful for anyone else whom someone is trying to con
I was only making op aware we don’t do that ok
