Does anyone on here live there? Or experience of living there?

thinking about buying some land there

Fascinated by this OP. Panama is one of the few countries left where foreigners have the same rights as Panamanians to own land in Panama.

Have you any idea you where to buy? Are you using a third party agent? Panama has some of the best beaches in the world and it’s fairly stable for a Central American country politically. They also speak English widely. It’s not expensive to live in either. And importantly not in the Hurricane zone.

Not really helpful, but Panama is the only country in the world where you can watch the sun rise on the Pacific coast and then set on the Atlantic coast. You can see this from the top of the highest point in the country, Volcan Baru at 3,474 m

I in was there in march, seemed a very modern proud country . Aims to be the the singapore of the americas ( without the torture). Bizarre travelling along a jungle highway to be confronted by a wall of sea containers.

I think a lot of American retirees relocate there due to the very low cost of living.

I've thought about Panama and costa rica because of the above.

Not really helpful, but Panama is one of the only tropical climate countries in the world to be free of malaria thanks to the canal diggers saturating the area with DDT.

Not really helpful but I have just wasted 40 minutes looking at real estate in Panama. Cheap generally and land is very cheap.

Just starting to look into it, i wasnt thinking sea level as it can be quite humid so i was looking maybe between david and boquete around that area.

Not really helpful, but Panama was the first country outside of the USA to sell Coca Cola
