Paloma Faith to play the Globe Theatre, Stockton in 2021

Not a fan of her music apart from a couple of decent songs but I think she is a really lovely girl and well down the globe on getting her for their first confirmed gig. Great for the area

Bet the Italian restaurant over the road from the globe can’t wait for all this to kick off. It’s gonna be booming. It’s a nice little place aswell, Sorriso it’s called

I'm sorry, but that statement is rubbish - artists will literally play anywhere for the right money - Stockton, Singapore, in a tent in the middle of the Desert
Is there really any need for that? I think you're responding to a statement I haven't actually made.

FFS is this what we have waited so long for. Pretty poor really. Music for people who are not really bothered about music. IMHO

There'll be a lot of shows like that as they cater for everyone (and bring some money in) which is fair enough. Look at some of the dross the town hall puts on. There will be a lot of theatrical shows as well Im sure given the owners.

The acid test is what shows they bring in that maybe a bit more musically credible but financially more of a risk.

The good thing is the stalls seating can be removed for standing gigs. Opens up the potential massively.

I'm sure there was.

A lot of them will have pointed out that popular doesn't necessarily mean good. A logic that applies to many things.

But the definition of 'good' is personal and subjective. I'm sure they will sell enough to fill it and plenty of people will have a grand day out. Personally I'm against musical snobbery, live and let live I say, there's an audience out there for every act (people even pay to watch Sunderland so there must be!).

I agree entirely.

Strictly come dancing, bake off etc are all hugely popular but in my opinion absolute dross but I accept that people enjoy them. As is the latest Mercury Prize winner Michael Kiwanuka, absolute rubbish, in my opinion.

Not sure anyone was displaying snobbery though, I certainly wasn't.
