Thinking about our current statues outside of the Riverside - is there anyone who could join those ranks?

Juninho?

Southgate lifting the Cup?

Steve Gibson?

Maccarone Diving Header?

Southgate surely does.
Captained the team to our only ever major trophy and a European cup final, we've never got bigger than that.

I think the club definitely needs someone from that period commemorating.

Not a big fan of statues. but Southgate probably if i had to choose one.
You definitely couldn't have Maccarone...an iconic moment but certainly not an iconic player.

Not 30 years but CAMSELL our record goal scorer that will never ever be beaten deserves one it was scandalous he was left out in the first place.

get that statue built.

scored a club record 325 league goals in 419 games for Middlesbrough, and 18 goals in 9 appearances for England.

Rather than statues I'd quite like some big mural images going round the outside of the ground. Southgate, Juninho, Mowbray all mentioned and very deserving. Might be nice to have something dedicated to Ugo.

Agreed. I'd favour some sort wall of fame commemorating many great players from history.

Curtis Fleming.

Seeing as he had his right arm raised permanently calling for offside you'd never know the difference.

Agree that Southgates statue needs to wait until after his second stint managing Boro through the latter half of the 2020s. He's too modest and would probably feel embarrassed parading our 2030 champions league trophy past a statue of himself.
