Outgoings?

Another season for Dan the man learning from and covering for Jonny Howson, and I think he could be the real deal

I didn’t see anything really impressive from Barlaser last year but surely it’s way too early to early to be trying to offload him?

Are any of our new signings midfielders? With Mowatt gone then Barlaser too would only leave us with Howson who's not getting any younger and Hackney who's had less than a season. Would be very thin with an injury or suspension

I don't think so. We look like in that position already, even if Barlaser stays. If he goes we need two in through.the door.

As said, surprised they would give up on Barlaser so quickly. Shows a ruthless streak though if they've already decided he isn't good enough.

Barlaser is surprising but maybe he hasn’t settled and we are happy to get our money back on him. I thought he could offer something different but struggled to impose himself for some reason.

Some French sports channels and reporters talking earlier today about a bit of a whisper Chuba Akpom is coming to French football very soon (Lens and Lille mentioned). Hope not but if he is to go rather it be sorted soon rather than at the end of the window so we can get a replacement in a few weeks before the season starts.

This feels like something got mangled. Don't know why we would loan Dijksteel unless it's with an obligation to buy. We are very short in midfield so loaning Barlaser makes no sense. It certainly wouldn't improve him. The only "senior" Loans I can imagine are Hoppe and Coburn. No point in loaning Roberts: keep or sell.

Hoppe, Coulson, Coburn, Sol Bryan (loaned), Dijksteel if replacement found or Clarke recovers, can't see Barlaser getting loaned he was bought and used by the current management.

Whats the position with Calum Kavanagh? - he's 20 in September, so no longer a kid.

Remains to be seen who comes in of course. If we have some senior midfielders lined up they may realise Barlaser is gonna be too far down pecking order to make sense keeping him around.

Barlaser isn’t there for me.. nice lad championship player.. but not there for what we want or how we want to play. I would rather see Agyemang in the mix tbh

McNair £5m is a lot of money to be sat on the bench.. Lenihan preferred and Van Den Berg here for first team football. Axel Tuanzebe In on a free.. can play right back. Carrick has the inside info.. as does Aaron Danks from his time on loan at Villa.

Payero a year left on his contract, he could still command a decent fee, play in big games and get the time in. SPL awaits surely? Ross Barkley’s name got mentioned as a joke.. maybe not so much if a joke (another name from Arron Dank’s villa days?) Still linked with plenty of midfielders.. Ardon Jashari maybe.. Max Bird.. blah blah blah

Akpom the fact that he hasn’t signed an extended contract suggests he’s off. big money needed to bring in the likes of Giles and Archer in permanently. Palace linked early doors now two French clubs in the race.

Dijksteel I like Anfernee, though he does deserve first team football.. we have Smith.. Agyemang can play right back..

Hoppe perhaps the most obvious candidate gif a loan move. Bundasliga, La Liga, Chsmpionship, SPL.. what on earth has happened to his levels. Loan move to MKS on the cards?

Coburn did well on loan in league one.. had a bit of a knee issue due to the load increase of games. A step up to the Championship? or perhaps something a little bit more interesting? Germany?
