Our travelling fans

It's right to praise our fans, but I can't get over the fact that the game went on general sale. Thousands of fans with priority points chose not to get tickets because they thought the season was over. There's a fickle side to Boro supporters that niggles me a little, and it was noticeable today with some fans turning on the team in the first five minutes.

Loved it. But I do think there is a bit of a curse when we bring such a big / loud following . It seams to inspire the home team and we freeze

Barnsley,
Hull
Today
Was just going to say that.

Can someone do some digging and put up our five or six biggest away attendances and the result of the games!

Stage fright from the players?

Clay I think you are trolling - 5,300 tickets were sold with fans knowing there was a 50% chance there would be nothing at stake. Would any other fans do that?

I have to admit, the best thing about today was the easy get away. It all looked liked being such a good day, especially with Sweet Caroline getting everyone in the mood. I even met Newy and his family outside the ground before the kick off.
If ever a match described the true definition of “typical Boro” it was this one, so onwards and upwards to next season. UTB
Lovely to meet you fella! Shame we couldn’t have pushed the dream a little further!!!
I do think your’re 100% spot on with the ‘typical boro’ comment. It was the result that no one wanted to speak about.

Thanks gawd Reading’s keeper let in that howler otherwise we would have been kicking ourselves!

I enjoyed today before and after the match 1 in 5000 chance of ending up sat with my extended family!!

Weirdly enough on the way home an enormous sense of relief came over me!

Good season, had a peek at the playoffs and an improvement over last season’s 10th place… now to jump onto a Kareoke with my post match husky voice!!!

And at Peterborough?

Or the significant improvement in home form in front of 22k home fans - One of our best home results was at home to Forest in front of biggest home crowd

Possibly some home teams are a little more motivated playing us at their ground when we bring a large following as its like Man United are in town (for the Championship) but I don't think our players are poorer in front of Boro fans, I was at Swansea aand we were not quite good enough in front of 900 away fans.

Would any other fans do that?
That's a very good point - no, they probably wouldn't.

I've just felt a little uncomfortable about the clamour for tickets that only came after it was clear that there was still something to play for.

"We are the Aryesome Angels and we never miss a match, unless we're outside the playoffs"

You been on the sauce? If not rather silly posts by you

On our way home. That was the most spineless performance since Norwich in the play offs. Very disappointing
Face uncomfortable facts. Wilder has fallen short. Not just today tactically but numerous times other managers have out thought him.
Wilder, not once has held his hand up and said, I’m responsible today.

Not once but found wanting so many times tactically.
