Our new badge..

Number 1 is my fave - Font needs some work - preferably a Sans Serif.
Number 2 is interesting though the lion looks like it is wearing clown shoes
Number 3 just needs some attention to detail - font, the way inner circle biscets lion is messy, 19 and 86 are touching innercircle and needs to be spaced properly.
Number 4: Where the fcuk do you start?

There was a lad that posted on here a few years ago that had done some good redesigns incorporating the Iconic Transporter. For me - that would be a relevant step forward and say more about the town than anything else....It's our USP
Yeah, I've seen the transporter one and for me its a dead duck. fine for a junior football team in the area.. no disrespect intended there btw.. I think there are some great badges that could be picked up and used by teams in the TJFA.. but for us I think it comes down to heritage.. I don't even think we need to change the crest to be honest, if that's our corporate identity.. then so be it. the 86 badge is miles better and at the very least we should bring it back for the 2026/2027 season if nothing else.

I like the '86 badge and I even like the fact it says '86 on it. I remember Gibson and Lamb saying that they went back to 1876 because they grew tired getting of being questioned on it by team execs during our UEFA cup runs.

As someone who has lived away since 1996 I found it nothing but positive. It always raised questions from new friends / colleagues and it allowed me to explain our history and what happened, more often than not it led to great conversations and bonding experiences.

We could have just changed the date

16 years and counting..

Does it owe something to our European Brethren perhaps?

I don’t understand why shipbuilding, which is long, long gone has to be represented in a football clubs badge?

Let’s get a few steel beams and some thick grey smog clouds to border that very native Middlesbrough animal, the lesser spotted grove hill lion. Obviously need to squeeze in a reference to the bongo and parmo, don’t we, because of this identity you all crave so greatly
It is on the town's crest ....... also , it has been many a moon since we had lions roaming around North Yorkshire .. so maybe that should go too ?
