Minority on here yes.
In real life no you’re not, younger people don’t like to moan like the old farts do on here when they don’t have any football to moan about
I don’t mind it. It’s fine.
Never liked the 86 one, that looked out of date the minute it was born and completely ignored our history.
Didn’t mind the one with the ships.
Mild preference to have the lion and mfc, but current is good for a few years yet.

I don’t understand why shipbuilding, which is long, long gone has to be represented in a football clubs badge?
Let’s get a few steel beams and some thick grey smog clouds to border that very native Middlesbrough animal, the lesser spotted grove hill lion. Obviously need to squeeze in a reference to the bongo and parmo, don’t we, because of this identity you all crave so greatly

I don't hate the 'new' badge but I don't have the sentiment for it that I do for the 86 badge either.

"some bland no-mark lion"? That Lion has represented the club for the best part of 40 years. Through the clubs golden era. It is synonymous with MFC. I'd also note that club wouldn't exist in its current guise without fans from the surrounding areas...Stockton, Redcar etc. The club doesn't need the towns badge, it needs a symbol that all those areas can relate, which is the Lion you refer to.

It seems Boro Rangers have now hijacked the old old badge, this was a favourite amongst some older Boro fans, having the towns COA ships symbol and blue lion.
Me I prefer the 1986 Red Lion badge, that's if you believe in Lady Luck ?, our fortunes changed so much with that new badge.
Despite being an old fan I always associate the 86 badge with our greatest moments, and I would prefer it back.
Unfortunately Boro xxxxxxx Taxis etc used it but switched the way the red rampant lion is facing. Perhaps this is why the Boro changed our badge.

I'm not a fan of all these new badges tbh.. I think we should stick with what we've already had.
Ideally (for me) we would go back a lion with MFC underneath.

Number 1 is my fave - Font needs some work - preferably a Sans Serif.
Number 2 is interesting though the lion looks like it is wearing clown shoes
Number 3 just needs some attention to detail - font, the way inner circle biscets lion is messy, 19 and 86 are touching innercircle and needs to be spaced properly.
Number 4: Where the fcuk do you start?
There was a lad that posted on here a few years ago that had done some good redesigns incorporating the Iconic Transporter. For me - that would be a relevant step forward and say more about the town than anything else....It's our USP
