Other Teams' Classic Kits

I had a wonderful book when I was a kid in the 1970s that had a page for each team with all their stats, but also a drawing of their home and away kit (definitely English and Scottish teams, but maybe international ones too??). I have no idea what the book was called, but if anyone has any idea I'd love to hunt it down again (it was about A5 size and hardback with a random assortment of non-footballers in different kits sat on benches like a "team photo" on the front I think...including one Billy Ashcroft lookalike).

Anyway, I spent hours in this book and loved the kits in there and one of my favourite all-time classic kits is the Carlisle one of the early 80s.

Birminghams similar one. Coventry/ wales one. Inc brown lol. Italians seem to keep there identitys better than us

Club colours, is that what you mean?

Leeds changed from yellow and blue to white, Cardiff from blue to red for a short while but can't think of many others in the 20th or 21st centuries.

Our club adopted the white band ten years after I started watching, our 'identity' in my early days was red shirts with white shoulders, but we've been red and white for all but the first 13 years.

White shoulders for 64-66 only CtC. 2 seasons.
Unless you are in your 90's and going back to the inter war years.

Luton used to play in white when they were in the old 1st division.

No idea why orange replaced it.
Edit: distressingly, it happened at the same time easyJet became their sponsors.

Not a happy memory for England, but I thought this was a great shirt (though now I think if it England wore white in the semi). Also Holland in 88

Luton used to switch quite often between white and orange
An example here of an orange kit worn by someone we all know and not necessarily loved 😅😅
