I see Sheff Utd have treated themselves to an open top bus tour for not winning the championship.

Would we want one if we won the play-offs?

Not for me, division winners only. If that. Ideally it'd be major silverware only.

Don't think we did when we finished 2nd did we? The players just got ***ed down the dickens instead. The correct way to celebrate promotion IMO.

Not really, it's a legitimate question.

I'm not saying we're any better than Sheff Utd. In fact sounds like we've done the same in the past. I'm saying I personally think it doesn't justify it and would be of the same opinion if we did it this year.

If you think that's "strange" mocking, up to you. It's just an opinion, others are free to take other views. As they have done.
 
Can’t work out whether I think it’s over the top or not.

It is definetly worth celebrating with fans.

Yikes! I suppose we were presumably feeling like it was a moral victory after the 3 points stuff. Still feels weird though. I obviously didn't attend, seem to have successfully blanked it from my memory!

I do remember the Emerson bit mind. Did he go AWOL again in November? Seem to recall someone saying (Robson or Lamb I think) that Emo probably would've stayed the season, but they didn't really trust him and needed the money for gazza. Or words to that effect.

I met him in Tenerife after he left. Having met him out in the Milenium and the town previously I was genuinely shocked. He seemed like a pricked balloon instead of the centre of the party.
