One film you watch over and over....

Zulu
Was always on TV over bank holidays as a kid. Know matter how many times I see it the men of Harlech sequence always gets the hairs on the back of my neck standing up.

any of the sergio leone westerns, fistful, TGTBTU, few dollars more, once upon a time in the west or outlaw josey wales.

wife will watch any of the john wick movies over and over

I just don't get the deer hunter, musical score, amazing, movie.. long and boring.

Not for everyone but couldnt agree less. Not a film i watch all the time but one i revisit and enjoy everytime i watch it. Makes more sense when you figure out Mike and Nicky are “together” and Nicky is Angela’s kids dad. Subtle layered movie with lots of re watch value. Another shout for Midnight Run. Wasn’t king of comedy earlier tho?

For a long time I think that the film I'd seen the most was The Blues Brothers. Most seen at the cinema maybe Rocky Horror Picture Show. TV, Wizard of Oz. But counting DVDs and VHS I ve watched with the kids its probably in reality something like Barbies Swan Lake :)

Obviously it tends to be films where the ending is critical or any mystery is important are not films for seeing time and time again.

"Das Boot" the 1981? film is a proper open minded blokes film. The U Boats were starving us of resources and food in 1941 and killing lots of merchant sailors, but in this film you end up tasting and smelling the fear of everyone in the U Boat and hate everyone who sent them out to their likely death. At one point at the end of 1942 it is getting very depressing and heavy as the Allies are sinking more and more U boats and one of the bosuns on the U Boat says to his small team of men "I have some really bad news for you men............................Schlake have been beaten 5-0 and they will not be getting to the Final this year"
