One album wonders

Wish The Las had been able to keep it together. Love the debut album.

A couple from the 00's. Larrikin Love's debut album was brilliant but never followed up. The other that springs to mind was a lad called Matthew Jay. His debut album was decent and a lot of promise there but unfortunately he passed away before he could follow it up
Was I the only person who didn't like The Las.
Was given a promo copy of there she goes when it was first released. Listened to it once and gave it away. One of my most hated songs ever along with The Proclaimers I'm gonna be.

There's loads who had more than one album but shouldn't have bothered with a second one. Spandau Ballet, Tears for Fears and The Artic Monkeys spring to mind.

Agree with Minor Threat... (they had a couple of decent EPs too).

Would you class 'Operation Ivy' as a classic? I'm a huge Rancid fan... But I'm always a bit 'hmmm' when it comes to Operation Ivy.

(Btw - Have you ever listened to Common Rider?)

I think Operation Ivys Energy is definitely a classic... It's influenced heaps of punk bands, especially in the states. And Out Come The Wolves for me is also a classic.

Common Rider 👍
