% of population dying from coronavirus ... pattern emerging

For the countries that have experienced widespread community transmission of the coronavirus ... and by that, I mean countries where it seems to have almost run its course, having infected and killed the vulnerable (Italy, Spain, UK, Belgium, USA) there seems to be some consistency to the % of the population that are dying up until the virus runs its course, and that is between 0.05% and 0.1%. Which is a bit of a worry where the USA is concerned, as the lower end of that would be around 190,000.

I'm not counting those countries that have managed to keep the virus at bay .... they may have that particular trauma to come (I hope they get all their most vulnerable dosed up with Vit D to keep their fatalities down when they do get it).

Actually there has been a rebuttal of that position in the BMJ as far as I know. There is significant evidence now that the T cell defence is what defends most people from the virus (hence the lack on antibodies in many people with mild illness) ... figures between 60% and & 75% of people give the virus the elbow without producing antibodies (from the B cell defence). The reason I write this is because the epithelial defence (mucus membranes) and the T cell defence are highly dependent upon adequate vitamin D levels. This is established science.

My next door neighbour who is a paramedic also had it.

Without even knowing.

Oh and look you are still alive, much like my next door neighbour is, fancy that.
Aren't you the lucky one. I know and know of plenty who have died from it and quite a number of those were in their 20s and 30s.

Yep there is a certainly something emerging.
The real hard facts.
Cases going up and deaths continuing to fall.
More people telling us about covid-19 been put on death certificates. There was even a report yesterday from America about somebody who had booked a test but had to cancel. A few days later she gets an email and a text telling her she had tested positive without even taking a test!
Quite possibly nearly 20+ million people out of work by Xmas because we have to 'protect' the frail and elderly who are shielding at home anyways.
There are rumors abound of a summer of riots in London and they aren't going to be about black lives mattering. All depending on Sunak's summer budget been announced on July 8th.
People are divided and openly scrapping with each and the police yet we see absolutely NO evidence of a deadly virus outside except facemasks and hand sanitizer stations. If this virus is as world ending as they say it is where are the yellow bio hazard waste bins for us to throw our tissues and masks into?

The freedoms you were born into are been eroded away.

But yes even though there is a 'killer contagious virus' floating about crack on with the football and other sports.
Don't use cash though as it can live on bank notes but not Amazon parcels or your favourite box of cereal at the supermarket.
It can also tell the difference between different types of ball. It won't go near basketballs or golf balls but touch a cricket ball and you've caught the virus.
I spent 37 days in Egyptian hospitals fighting the virus. Wouldn’t want anyone to experience that. My lungs feel funny, not at 100% anyway. What will the long term effects be?

like measels, people focus on the death rates to say how dangerous these illnesses are, its the other long term effects from them which also need avoiding.

Randy, I think you need to chill out mate, you sound like an absolute crank, getting into plazmuh territory with your post here.

Nah back to the football and everyday life. This virus is just added to the list of other things that may possibly kill you like a car crash or been eaten by a bear for me. 😀

July 2nd.

You only have to look at the excess deaths to know what coronavirus has done.

You only have to look at America to see what’s happening if you don’t take it serious enough

Not about just the death rate, all kinds of significant long term health impacts it can cause even after you have recovered. Luckily your neighbour sounds like it has barely hit him, quite a high percentage will only get mild symptoms luckily but it doesnt mean we should take it any less serious.

Bloke in our village in his early 50s, no health conditions etc spent weeks in a coma with it, doubt he will ever be the same again. Plenty more in the same position. Certainly something you want to avoid at all costs.

Not even barely hit him. He would have had no clue at all if he hadn't been for a random test out of curiosity.
Here's something else interesting though, had an antibody test, no anti bodies.

Imagine there will be loads that dont even know they had it, makes it practically impossible to stop the spread once we ease lockdown.
