Obi-Wan Kenobi - Disney+ (Possible Spoilers)

The whole thing felt kind of pointless. I mean it was nice seeing Ewan McGregor playing with a lightsabre but the whole thing was almost instantly forgettable. If I think of all the Star Wars there's been since 2000 then I have enjoyed parts of Rogue 1, The Last Jedi and the first season of The Mandalorian. This tells me I should probably give up on it. It's become a largely dull and forgettable franchise with the occasional standout. I'm happy for those that enjoy it. I'm sure if I were a kid I would be happily watching loads of it the same way I read loads of comics growing up.

Well, at least you enjoyed The Phantom Menace.

I really liked the phantom Menace- I think I may be alone in that.

I think you summed up the whole thing well- it is generally badly written throughout. Everything I love about it is nostalgic and stand alone most of it isn't great.

It is fair to say most of these cinematic universes are being bled for every penny they are worth, and the spins offs aren't for the purists.

The writing really hasnt been great since the originals- it's like they gave up after caravan of courage ;)

That was a reference to the fact that TPM was released in 1999, speaking of which, when it first came out like many others, I didn't like it. I thought it was too light at bubbly, a film aimed at a younger generation.

Episodes 2 and 3 made TFM make more sense as Lucas shifted to more darker narratives and now I enjoy watching all 3.

Disney will milk Star Wars for all it's worth as it literally has no end to possible story telling, it has also made huge mistakes in the process but nevertheless, they are producing more Star Wars which for me, is great.

Disney proper flogging Star Wars and the MCU. Its hard to keep up with timelines and almost impossible to have correct continuity.

The fact is they are about People in space using the force and Super Hero's. Surprisingly neither actually exist. So not sure why people on social media get so upset because 'something doesn't fit right'.

Just enjoy them. I mean they are throwing more money at them than the BBC with some guff about Midwives etc😂
