Oasis - Standing on the Shoulder of Giants

Music really does come down to personal taste and preference. Personally, I love Be Here Now. I also like OK Computer. Not such a fan of most of the Oasis albums post 1997 although there are still some standout tracks on every album. On a side note, I really liked the cover Of Carnation that was made with the Gallaghers, Weller and Craddock.

OK Computer is the album that proved to me that music is definitely about personal taste, I've really tried, listened to quite a bit, but I just don't get how it's so highly regarded.

As you say down to personal taste. So I'm a massive The Jam fan and that cover of Carnation ruined the song for ever for me.

Started off like a manufactured generic indie band, I loved The Great Escape and they really come into their own in 1997.
Yep, Coxon really came into his own after Great Escape influenced by American alternative bands. 13 and the self titled albums probably their best as a result imo.
