O’Brien’s injury

I thought it was a poor tackle worthy of a card but the ref just nonchalantly waved it away like he wasn’t interested in our players safety. He gave Hackney a load of ear ache for a nothing shirt tug, but let their players commit rash tackles. I thought Watford were the dirtiest team we’ve played this season. The tackle on Jones also was a borderline red imo which could have seriously injured Jones, not to mention Josh was treated like a rag doll by their defenders.

I would have thought Clarke is not a long way off - I think he's played a part in three Under 21 games.

Lenihan was down as illness, not injury. Hopefully back soon.

Both Coulson and Engel looked too poor based on their performances this season. I would play VDB ahead of them at left back and move Smith or McNair to right back.
 
Coulson is very limited and shouldn’t be anywhere near our first team and from what I’ve seen of Engel so far, he looks miles off champo standard, but I wouldn’t write him off just yet. Silly decision to let Bola go because he would be very useful right now! VDB is our only real option as it stands…

He’s our only option due to injuries to Bangura, Clarke, Dijksteel, and Engels poor start. Makes him our 5th option at LB. Any side would struggle with a 5th choice in a position. It was clearly time for Bola to go as keeping him as 4th choice isn’t really viable

I think tactically, it would be better to play RVDB at right back rather than Smith as Smith has a tendency to dive in to tackles and fear he would be sent off for a late challenge on Clarke!

Nah.. he defo deserves a shot and he will naturally be worth more than him just going out on a free.
 
4million for Coulson? Possibly 5 😂. Who’s paying that? Maybe if Garry Monk gets back in the game. Apologies if I’m missing an obvious windup.

We’d struggle to get 1 million as things stand.
