Bit morbid in the current climate but there`s an actual nuke map that lets you plot the effect distance based on recorded nuclear tests

I had a relative that worked at the power station and I had a booklet that gave all the supposed targets in Teesside NE with blast rings of fall out and time it took to die per ring.

yes bleak

I think this was issued by Cleveland County Council (or Middlesbrough Borough Council) when they became a Nuclear Free Zone, I'm sure I remember seeing one in the school library & I can't think how else it would've got there.

I recall it identified strike targets for the Soviet nuclear missiles such as the nuclear power station, the chemical plant, steel works etc. & the blast zones.

It was a fairly grim read.

Yes thats the one

The heavy industry on Teesside is a more relevant concern, albeit still incredibly unlikely - it would pretty much flatten the area if there was a catastrophic accident.
Imagine a buncefield happening at Conoco Phillips, which is right across the road from a chemical plant!

You can’t beat a bit of preparedness and foresight . I mean who would build a 35k stadium fashioned as a bowl right next to a chemical plant ?

Oh wait..................😷

Used to work in a lab right next to that plant on the Cargo Fleet Road. They had the blast diagrams for the factory next door. Big tanks full of Ethylene Oxide. Dunno if it (thset EO) isill there. Crater extended past the Town Hall.
