Funny old game isn’t it.

I thought Clarke won plenty and looks more comfortable than Fry.

All left backs will get caught out with the way we play but Giles more than made up for it with his forward positioning, drive, understanding of how the team played and final ball. You could have Bobby Carlos playing for us and he’d be excellent but he’s still not capable of covering the amount of yards expected of a full back in our current system.

Ayling looks okay, a little limited at times but think he’d massively benefit from having Isiah ahead of him.

Silvera, wasteful and one trick.

Forss, very unlucky not to have a goal, works hard, doesn’t offer a huge amount else.

Greenwood and Azaz. Both have a worldie in their locker but are left wanting in other areas. Greenwood works harder but Azaz has a better eye for a pass. Both wasteful.

Dijksteel looked rusty but I have never been convinced that the amount of dithering he does on the ball will ever make him a regular in this side.

Good point on the deflections but keeper should have saved low to his left.
Carricks style will always be to make space. It’s risk reward from the back but from some players we saw a loss of confidence and composure .
But that isn’t the main worry for me it’s the forward strategy really letting us down.
Our greatest threat is Forss finishing. Play it to him in more dangerous areas in the centre, and we will score plenty
