Novak Djokovic breaks glandslam record

Firstly why does the runner up at RG only get a tacky silver plate?

On to the Joker, I know he came in for a lot of unnecessary bad publicity for his stance on the Covid vaccines. However he stood firm over his stance on not taking them and now the vaccine isn’t necessary in most counties he’s plain sailing into the tennis history books and Serbian folklore.

He’s an amazing player and athlete who has taken the sport onto new levels (along with Federer and Rafa) but he keeps his success very low key but at the same time he’s elevated his character and his love for life family and the game.

Won every grand slam at least 3 times now.

Neither Federer nor Nadal can claim that, but maybe that's because RN dominated on clay and, to a lesser extent, RF dominated on grass

Wonderful player and probably hasnt got the recognition he deserves. Saying that Rodger Federer to me is the best tennis player to grace the planet absolute class pure silk the way he played
He's gotten absolutely tons of recognition. He's just also an unlikeable scumbag who is always desperate to be loved as much as Nadal and Federer whilst simultaneously constantly doing things that are only going to have the absolute opposite happen.

He’s a fantastic player, his record tells us that he is the most successful of all times and that record has to be seen in the context of the era in which he has achieved it namely the era of Federer and Nadal.

I’m not sure that he would beat either Federer or more likely Nadal if they played each other at the very peak of their games. He isn’t the most popular player with the tennis public and I think he sometimes struggles to understand and accept that.

He has had an ability to shoot himself in the foot at times but he’s only human when I have seen him lose to opponents in massive matches he has always been very fair and appeared to be genuinely pleased for his opponent.

As a tennis fan it’s been great to watch the greatest generation of players the world has seen and he has been a massive part of that spectacle.

Did we ever find out what was in those drinks Djokovic’s coaches were filmed mixing for him during a match in Paris last year? Or that powder he was inhaling at Wimbledon. It’s interesting stuff.

Yet will never get the love that Borg, Federer or some others get because he can't stop being a d*ck every now and then.

I think he would beat them all. GOAT.
No reason why he can't win another 3-4 Slams to put the debate to bed.
He is going to have the greatest record of all time perhaps forever but at his best I don’t think he would have beaten Nadal at his best it’s just an opinion.

Ajde Nole. No agreement with everything he says but problem here in appreciating the man and his record achievement , will end up as the 🐐

To be fair, much as I dislike Djokovic and like Nadal, he has beaten Nadal at his best a ton of times. It got to a point where it seemed like Nadal would just never beat him again. In the span of a year in like 2011 he beat Nadal seven times in a row, and from 2013 to 2016 he won 11 out of 12 matches against Nadal.

They've had so many matches that are just absolute wars of attrition and some of the best and most physical matches you'll ever see, a lot of which are regarded as some of the best tennis matches ever, and Djokovic has won a lot of them. It's only really since 2017 or so that Nadal has managed to claw a few wins back to bring their head to head to 30-29 to Djokovic.

Similar with Federer, he's played Djokovic when Federer's been on top of his game and played a good match while Djokovic wasn't, and Djokovic has still won a lot of them.

He's an unlikeable pr*ck off the court, and on court is just a relentless dominant bore, but there's really absolutely no argument at all that he wouldn't beat Nadal at his best.

Can’t take to the man and personality on court is a big thing in tennis as you closely watch the character toil with himself on court. I can’t deny he is absolutely brilliant and just hope he is clean as the fitness he shows sometimes is uncanny for a man of 36. Maybe a freak of nature.

Dad's a neo-nazi, he's done nothing to denounce this.

F*cking Doyle.

Decent tennis player though.
