we wont, too much money goes to them for Arms sales etc. The FA will say there was no political pressure from the government but there will be. Its down to the players to make the stance The FA WontHeroes.
Hope they boycott the tournament and I wish we'd join them in it.
The problem with that is it means 6500+ deaths for literally nothing. I’m not saying it’s right that it should be there but I can’t see a scenario where it will be somewhere else.I think it would need action from multiple big football nations for a boycott to make it's mark.
Really it just shouldn't be there. The best outcome would be multiple boycott threats leading to a change of venue.
I admire their stance but FIFA will just fine them for making a political statement - which is shocking as they cannot be having a go like that, its just not on you know.
On building sites? What is the number of people we would expect to be dying over this period of time?
The figure isn't from building sites is it? It's the number of people who have died since the world cup was awarded from the migrant population. On building sites?

Fair play to youAs usual, I know that I'm whistling in the wind but I have decided to have absolutely nothing to do with the next World Cup. So, I have managed to avoid the draw a few months ago (I haven't a clue who are in England's group) and haven't looked at any results or headlines and turn off the TV/Radio if they are talking about matches etc. Even when it gets to the finals I won't be watching even if we get to the final itself.
I know that the whole World cup process has been corrupt for years (especially during Sepp Blatter's reign) but this Qater allocation was 10 times worse. However, if I make my own little protest it will make me feel better. Just in the same way that I will have nothing to do with MK Dons.

My mate just got back from 5 years in Qatar this week. Says deaths of migrant workers are daily and covered up. When Covid hit they just locked them all up together in their ‘camps’.The figure isn't from building sites is it? It's the number of people who have died since the world cup was awarded from the migrant population.
I agree, it's unlikely it'll change mainly because the big nations won't take any stance. If say England, France, Brazil, Germany and others pulled out then they could be backed into a corner. The problem with that is it means 6500+ deaths for literally nothing.
