And when he headlined 2 nights at Knebworth 50% of the songs performed and the full encore were the anthems written by Noel. That's why Noel has moved on - he doesn't have a point to prove about Oasis and will always be able to write songs (whether they are any good is a different argument), whereas Liam can't fall back on that.

I do actually think things might ramp up again for Noel now. He has timed the 'never say never' quote alongside his divorce quite perfectly, to coincide with an anthemic release like today's. I suppose it all depends on what hand Liam plays from here.

Honestly, how anyone could categorise the Gallagher brothers' output as 'music' is beyond me. Liam cannot sing and has never been able to. Noel's lyrics are full of 'baby' and 'yeah, yeah, yeah'. They are both absolutely shiite.

Could be a load of rubbish but it's a bit risky of him to tweet this if Noel genuinely has gotten in touch to suggest they put their differences aside. I can't imagine Noel will appreciate Liam claiming that Noel was begging him for it.
