Really he sold off the family silver on the cheap with numerous privatisations. An economic architect of thatcherism he has a lot to answer for

2) chaired Vote Leave campaign
3) deregulated the financial markets causing the 07/08 banking crash
4) sold off umpteen national assets, didn’t reinvest the money
5) took the UK current account deficit from 1% to 5%
6) was energy minister for closing the mines and kicking the north in the nuts

He had North Sea oil money piling in all the while too, he was one of the jammiest treasurers ever - and he and Margaret Thatcher wasted it.

I can’t believe the press don’t ever mention any of this. It’s almost as if the press are owned by ….
