NI protocol agreed ‘in haste’ 🤣

You'll all have EGG on your faces - in a few years time you'll hear about a TEESSIDE business running the agenda in the UK - don't say I didn't tell you

Anyway back to the thread topic

I think BORIS was wrong to sign the agreement with the EU, I would have told the EU we are keeping the Border open between NI and Ireland, if the EU want to close that border (Which they legally have to) - that's up to them. They can break the Good Friday agreement

Boris has basically given away our only option by placing a border between the rest of the UK and NI

We should have just left on WTO terms

I’ve heard it all now.
I watched his ‘speech’ (xenophobic rant) today….a very deliberate delivery a day before the European representatives are offering some alternatives despite only signing it on Xmas eve 2019 with both sides in agreement.

The Great Lordy (lardy) Frost has finally spoken some truth in his words today, in that, the protocol was agreed ‘in haste’ and during a period of ‘great uncertainty’
Hahaha…finally, this Tory kabal admit they basically agreed to this momentous agreement too quickly and why was that ?

Because they just needed to’Get Brexit Done’
It didn’t matter that it meant they had no idea of the impact to the people of NI, let’s just sign it so we can tell people in England we’ve done it and it’s a GREAT deal !
Lying Barstewards.

And all because at the Dec election they were made to look like they did what they said they would do….get Brexit done…..no matter the cost.

What an utter kabal we have running this country….
I’m ashamed to be British
Sorry to be pedantic but its Cabal, not Kabal.

Is anyone remotely surprised by this - the issues that is almost unsolvable, the issue of Ireland. Both sides under their own political pressures signing a deal that they know is not workable.
What we have now is an adjustment based upon practicalities of trading.
I’m really not surprised.

Not true actually. The colonial British are going to reject these very fair set of adjustments by the European Union because they want a pure break and no ECJ interference. Even though the NI business community are happy with these changes but the cabal government in place wants an ideological split from the European Union and will collapse the protocol to make the EU look like the bad guys rather than act in the interests of the people and business
This is the evil I was talking about with the Tories
Utterly evil how they operate and are desperate to hold onto power and fire up their base
They’ll make mistakes though like trump did.
Nutters always do in the end.

It's not unsolvable is it?

It's unsolvable without being in the customs union. The customs union removes the issue entirely but isn't what the some tories want though. The erg are a powerful minority.
It is unsolvable in its entirety without being in the customs Union so a system is possible which is by no means perfect but the government cabal will insist on no ECJ involvement and the EU won’t ever accept this
Which is what this government wants, no agreement so they can bad mouth the EU and fire up their base….confuse the millions of voters that the pesky EU are to blame…..and we must vote for the Tories otherwise Labour will take us back to the bad old days….that’ll be the message and strategy by this evil government….just to cling to power

Absolutely. These unprincipled shysters will throw anyone under the bus to maintain their hold on power. They are already starting with the narrative that the scientists/science was to blame for their shockingly bad performance in the face of the COVID pandemic. They have thrown (the delightful) Mr. Cummings to the sharks already and will never apologise and never admit to fault even when faced with an incriminating truth. Such things are weakness in the mantra of these crooks.

.Don’t forget
From the 2016 Ref vote.. to today’s mess. The only reason for it all is to keep the Tory party together
Ziggy ; quite right.
The Tories were in a desperate place as May struggled to control the extreme right wing and ran to Boris in a moment of utter crisis for their party. Sold out on all their values and kicked out the moderates in an unbelievable cull just to cling to power….and Get Brexit Done. At any cost to the country as long as the Tory party cling together to serve the rich and powerful still further as the most vulnerable get squeezed
And the ‘small state’ narrative continues with cuts to Nhs, education, police, social care & local councils.
Evil beyond measure every one of them

I feel very sorry for the government who has to sort out the mess of the last 11 years. The Labour manifesto in 2019 showed how much needs to be done, but its breadth of scope was dismissed by the electorate as too much and too left, when it was what was needed to correct and then begin to level this country..
