NFL Week 2

As the week begins with the Vikings @ Eagles tonight, I thought I'd start a new post for week 2.

How will the Jets fare in their new era after a long and distinguished career in New Jersey for quarterback Aaron Rodgers?

Will the additions of Chris Jones and Travis Kelce see the Chiefs find their mojo again?

Will the Bengals actually get a TD this week?

Are Dallas and San Fran really as good as they looked last week?

Are the Bears really as bad as they looked last week?

Tune in and find out!

Rodgers out for the season, Wilson now QB for the Jets did ok in week 1.

49ers and Miami both looked good last week.

Feel a bit sorry for the Jets. Since Rogers signed he's been the only person on the team. Rogers, Rogers, Rogers, Rogers.......blah blah blah.

They've actually built up a decent roster, one of the best defences in the league, very good players on offense.

All overlooked.

So many may be writing them off with Rogers season ending injury but keep injury free and they may be dark horses.

And if Wilson stops doing stupid things, obviously......🙄

How much per completed pass is Rodgers going to cost the Jets? Real shame for both - I was looking forward to seeing how Rodgers got on outside of Green Bay.

I feel like the AFC is going to be ultra competitive this season, the East, West and North are stacked with top teams. Already we've seen Kansas, Buffalo, Cincinnati, Pittsburgh and the Chargers lose, when you look at this week you've got the following unbeaten teams fixtures:

Jets @ Dallas
Miami @ New England
Ravens @ Bengals
Raiders @ Bills
Browns @ Steelers

All the above unbeaten teams are on the road in tough games and the only unbeaten team at home are the Jags who host the Chiefs, you could envisage a situation next week where hardly any AFC teams are left unbeaten and that's after only 2 weeks.

Cowboys looked like a rampaging truck last week but then again maybe if the Giants had stuck in their first opportunity instead of the crazy fumble then who knows. Problem is for the Cowboys is that the Eagles are in their way. As for the Niners I heard from somewhere that certain pundits were disputing if Brock Purdy is a legit quarterback? That kind of speculation or question surely has been put to bed with his demo job on the Steelers.

I love Sundays in the fall. Soccer in the morning, as I eat bacon covered in maple syrup, a quick stroll along the local sidewalks to appreciate the color of the fall leaves then back home to watch proper football all afternoon on Redzone with a couple of Budweisers, followed by the Sunday night game with a hot dog and mom's apple pie

(probably the wrong thread to post this, but if thst doesn't trigger someone then I'd be deeply disappointed 😂)

Oh, and I wouldn't wash my feet in Budweiser 🤢

Vikes really shooting themselves in the foot tonight versus the Eagles. The Vikes have coughed up the ball four times and it’s not even the fourth quarter. Their offense has been on the field for little over 13 minutes while the Eagles have literally owned the possession stats. Late into the 3rd quarter it looks like a stroll in the park for the Eagles— no way back for the hapless Vikes. Eagles defense along with the four forced fumbles have held the Vikings to just 14 rushing yards.

Vikes making a game of it as late in the fourth with two touchdowns. One more notable in this game was Jake Elliot’s 61 yard field goal— incredible.

Some very interesting scores from Sunday’s games the most notable was the Niners win at the Rams 30-23. The game really was decided in the 4th quarter when Matthew Stafford through two INTs from which the Niners turned into points. Both the Bills and the Chiefs got comfortable wins.

Packers lost a close one giving the lead with less than a minute on the clock at Atlanta . The Giants came back from the dead when they were seemingly out of it down by 20 at Phoenix— they eventually won by a FG with less than 20 seconds left on the clock.

Cowboys looked in ominous form at home to the Jets, although I’d have to say if Aaron Rodgers had been available the score might have been a lot closer.

Redskins sorry Commanders 21-3 down second quarter, won 35-33. 😳😳

The Peyton era in Denver making a slow start 0-2
