Next Supporters Forum Meeting Soon

I can ask about numbers of away allocations for next meeting but we are not talking about significant amounts of tickets.

As far as I know Disabled supporters, Red Faction and 12th Man will get half a dozen to ten per group allowing them to book buses and provide flags and start chants etc. (as in 6 to 10 in total to 12th man). This is by invitation of Supporters Services at Boro. They are groups that do a significant amount of work for supporters as a whole with the football club, home and away. We are always talking about home season ticket holders as well. Personally, I think it is absolutely right that the club makes sure they have a presence.

I don't know corporate numbers. But from previous discussions we are not talking about big subtractions from the allocation.
I will ask. I think away season ticket cap is just over 120.

Scandalous.

A supporters group will get up to a total of 10 per match but more often less. All are home season ticket holders. Am not sure how many supporters groups but it is maybe only 3. These are groups committed to travelling to every away game.
I honestly wouldn’t have a problem if supporter clubs got 30 tickets so as long as those fans had season tickets.

off the top of my head Sedgefield, the golden jubilee, the frigate all out on buses and events for fans. If a group can travel tested in numbers and you have an affiliated supporters club card affiliated to the club and you have a period of time say 24 hours to commit to buying a ticket I have zero problems with this. Infact it should be encouraged.

the official supports buses don’t pick up fans from say ingleby, Yarm or Redcar you have to go to the stadium or billingham.

I think the club should definitely tap into these supporters clubs. It is healthy to have something so organised.

I don’t like the chav, stone island aggressive wanna be hooligans at the games. I’d like to take my kids to an away game hassle and chav free. Women and families are the future of football clubs as identities by various reports. Look at the rate female football is progressing at.

Scandalous.
Why exactly is it scandalous? The club can choose who it allocates tickets to. Let's be clear the fans buy the tickets, they are not free. They are all season ticket holders.
Which group in particular do you take issue with. Disabled Supporters Association?

Where does it end? One rule for one, one rule for another. The points system already restricts who can and can’t buy in-demand tickets. That’s now being filtered further by the club handing out tickets to supporters groups and their mates.

I just want a ticketing system that’s gives all supporters a chance at buying in-demand tickets not a select few.

Do I have a problem with the disabled supporters group? Come on Rob you’re better than that.

Scandalous is a bit harsh but it's not right that the club allocates tickets to various supporters groups whilst running a points system for the rest of the fan base. A system that was supposed to be "fair" and ensure that those who went to the most away games had a chance of getting tickets.

One rule for forum members one rule for everyone else.

If you look in the posts above this agreement pre dates the latest priority points system.
You need to take this up with the club. They will say it is up to them.
I would say to you that these 3 organised supporter groups (all season ticket holders) work hard for the club and all supporters, taking banners, starting songs and organising safe transport for other fans. We might only be talking about 20 fans per game. But they are all giving a lot back.

Thanks for that.
Just looking for some healthy transparency.
If the numbers are small it's probably not an issue.

I don't think it is anything to do with the fans forum.
Several supporters groups seated around that table are not getting away ticket priority, including BoroSC2020 (they took over from the old supporters club - they do not get away priority tickets).

I am not getting priority tickets, apart from my away season ticket. But I don't take a bus and organise away fan trips for fmttm people.

I like to be safe and hooligan free myself at games but are you saying that only families should be going to games? Stop single men and their mates attending? I know there have been a few problems with our fans at away games, but that's the minority.
I'd say, but have no figures to back it up, just my own eyes, most away fans are men with their mates. This is not the theatre or opera.
Maybe at turnstiles, along with the QR check, only let in people with Boro replica shirts, faces painted and foam hand on. (Last paragraph is tongue in cheek)

The whole point of the forum is so we can raise issues with the club. I imagine i can't take it up through the official supporters forum because it's....self serving for it's members ?

@DCI_Gene_Hunt is right. Scandalous is excessive. Unfair is more appropriate.

Isn’t that the point of asking for input for the fans forum though?

You can pose the question on behalf of those fans asking, or can every individual fan attend the fans forum and ask their own questions?

I’m a bit confused….

Do you ever stop moaning? Your constant whinging about tickets is becoming a bit tedious. Could have sworn you said you didn't go anymore anyway because of the prices. Robs said it probably works out no more than 20 tickets a match so what difference does it make? Ive been to most away games this season and haven't had a single issue with getting a ticket online and to be honest, there doesn't appear to be many on here that say they couldn't get a ticket either. Certain posters love a bit of trouble causing when Rob starts these threads. No doubt they would stay mute if invited to voice their opinions in person.

You've said that members of the forum are offered tickets directly outside of the established selling process that everyone else has to follow.

So you maybe correct in emphasising that several groups do not get tickets but clearly some groups/people do.

Why does this bother you so much it’s a farce anyway ? At Blackpool I showed my wife’s covid pass from my apple wallet instead of mine by mistake and I was still allowed in.
It bothers me because the application of the law is farcical.

Rob my proposal is to give supporters groups with season tickets the chance to book 30 so the said groups can arrange away days.

My second suggestion is that the official club transport do drop offs around Teesside such as Marton, Nunthorpe, ingleby, Redcar, Yarm and Guisborough.

I've mentioned this before but doesn't seem to be any improvement. The ever decreasing time between away tickets being available and the actual match.
Not a problem for many, but I travel a lot and often plan a visit to away games on the way back from somewhere and a ticket posted to my home address the week before is no good to me.
Blackburn game coming up and no mention of ticket sales date yet. Tickets should already be at MFC so why not sell them now?
They have to be made available 4 weeks before match as per EFL rules ( copy below ) or if not, join the 21st century and issue e tickets.

34.3.2 Clubs are required to sell tickets for their away matches if required to do so by the Home Club and similarly Home Clubs are required to supply tickets for their Home Matches to the Away Club for sale by the Away Club to its supporters if so requested by the Away Club. These tickets are to be made available on a sale or return basis and must be ordered by the Away Club at least five weeks before the League Match to which they relate. The Home Club must deliver those tickets to the Away Club at the latest four weeks before the League Match to which they relate.

I think it's down to the selling club.
Huddersfield IIRC were excellent with sales well in advance, but most aren't.
