Next Supporters Forum Meeting Soon

I should add that there has been a bit of correspondence now received by the Fans Forum from Staffs Police.
Hopefully by the time of the meeting there will be some progress to report on where things stand.

Behind the east stand are bus loads of supporters attached to supporters clubs from Redcar, Yarm and Sedgefield to name a few. Perhaps the club could sell the organisers of such clubs tickets for away games so that the supporters clubs could put away trips on.

Also if the club could ban those stone island goggle sas jackets as well. Thanks.

It would be nice for a varieties of beers and even a pint of Guinness to be available at half time.

Linking season tickets with other clubs turnstiles to avoid paper waste and ticket delays on away games.

I know the club has limited or no leverage with the local authorities, but the entire parking situation is beyond a joke.

Absolutely not helped in anyway shape or form by the increasing numbers of idiotic parking choices made by people (roundabouts and slip roads etc) but this will continue to increase due to the lack of alternatives.

Stewards allowing people in who don't have ID to match the Covid-19 passport they are showing on their phone. I've seen it happen with my own eyes.

You must have been very close to see ID and passport. But we have feedback that for the last few minutes on Boxing Day stewards were stepping back because of the numbers of people struggling to get in for kick off.

I think asking about short term and long term parking and transport routes to the stadium. We have to look at cutting carbon foot print down as well - so car sharing and any other ways of helping more people to reach the stadium in ways that are not so environmentally damaging. Our stadium and its surrounds will start to be threatened by floods and rising sea levels within only a couple of decades.

A few of the points already suggested for the next meeting (Date not yet confirmed).

- Entry to the Riverside under covid restrictions
- Refunds / ticket swaps for supporters that bought tickets but could not attend due to illness
- Update on membership scheme
- Next foodbank collection
- Boro green initiative
- Update on issues at Stoke
- Update on away match behaviour action
- Chris Wilder / Kieran Scott Future forum meetings dates
- Agree date for dedicated ticketing meeting with club discussing detailed document prepared by supporters

Also been suggested
Better coverage for U23/youth games.
Half season tkts for digital
MFC Foundation shirt auctions - can some go to raffles etc

What should we discuss?
Cab the priority points scheme but looked at for away tickets. Although i do actually have over 200 points, my 2 sons, who work half the Saturdays a year can not get tickets for a lot of away trips. There is a lot of away tickets bought by priority points holders for other people so this just creates fiddling.

It is not fair across the board

With regards to the refund/swap tickets. Seems to be quite a few tickets being sold on here recently, most down to covid and sold at face value.
But would it not be a better idea to maybe return the tickets to MFC and distribute them to a reserve list? Im talking about away games only. Especially when they are over subscribed. Fans will then get the loyalty points.

Absolutely. That is why the point is being debated. I raised these points with Boro on Monday and also with the Forum. The Forum had already approached Boro after issues around COVID and Blackpool. So, we should get a good discussion on this.

What about an update from Steve Gibson on the Derby situation, as per your post the other day?
I have discussed some elements with one of the Derby supporters groups and they are approaching Steve Gibson - it is probably more something for them, rather than us. Don't you think. I can probably say more as time goes on. He phoned me as a rep of the fanzine/fan site.
I took some notes and there are interesting background things even stuff like reiterating why we did not buy local steel for the Riverside. Derby County used our stadium design and obviously upgraded it. Boro was the first stadium built using this cantilever system and at that time the only steel that could be sourced was from Germany. Steve Gibson has always insisted on this from the very start. It was a structural decision that had to be taken.

Sorry that I have diverted the discussion away. Please don't follow my lead here. Are we covering most of the key bases here for fan/club discussion?

Please don't doubt me Rob because I have ears as well as eyes. When a steward says to a fan do you have any ID to match your Covid-19 passport because the name on the season card is different then the lad says no, not even a drivers license or a debit card. The steward then says "oh go on in then". If you like I'll give you the date, approximate time and turnstile no?

Car park E - are there any plans to improve it?

Due to the uneven surface, there are huge potholes, dips in the ground that inevitably fill with water when there is a rain. Stewards ask you to park in the middle of massive puddles too when the weather is like this. Even when no downpour, the potholes are quite bad meaning could be damaged when driving through it. It’s a concern as I dont know with the different levels how there isn't more falls or accidents.

After the match, because no bays in the car park - cars are parked all over, making what can only be described as chaos trying to get out. No queuing system, cars more or less ramming each other to get further towards exit gates.

As a holder of a season parking pass and have been for a number of years now; the situation has never improved and only seems to get worse. The car park is not cheap to park on and is not much less, if at all than the other car parks such as A and B who have designated bays and a proper even surface - it would be my suggestion that they even the surface out and look to introduce bay parking with the number of the pass on making it easier to park and more organised than what we currently have.

Some of the fan groups do receive the option of buying a small number of away tickets - 10 or under - this allows organised travel to away games.

In the interest of transparency can we ask that the club disclose the number of away tickets held back before they are offered to fans under the priority points system (for players, MFC employees, corporates, away season card holders). I believe some clubs already do this.
A number of people have commented on a significant number of tickets already reserved when logging in to buy away tickets at the specified time.
