Gary Neville onside said he has Gareth Southgate is the new Man United manager. Wow!

I would be trying everything to get klopp to be the manager.

I do like the spurs manager Ange.

I’d like him to stay on if possible. If not, we’d have to go down the foreign manager route again as not much choice from an English point of view.

Mourinho?
 
They'll go for an Englishman again I'd have thought. No idea who mind, not many obvious candidates.

It's the most harmonious squad we've had in decades. I think it would be a terrible idea to put the Mourinho cat amongst the pigeons.

Another calm, composed, emotionally aware manager is needed. Maybe a Rob Edwards or even our own boss, as much as I would hate him to leave.
 
I'd personally have no problem with Southgate staying on, but I'm a bit sick of the negativity surrounding him from so many England fans so I'd probably let him ride off in to the sunset whatever happens this summer.

Graham Potter seems the obvious answer, young-ish, English, still got an okay pedigree and out of work.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised.

Don't know what Carsley is like personality-wise but would think they'd want someone not too far away from Southgate on that front. Although Southgate has always been a natural leader so might be quite hard.
 
I think it would be Eddie Howe. It would suit Newcastle as well. FA would love him. He’s not controversial. Just hope he doesn’t bring Jason Tindall with him. Can’t stand him. Problem with Howe he’s far too loyal but then again so is Southgate. Just expect team selfies when we beat San Mariano 🙄
 
Southgate certainly has been the most successful England manager apart from. Alf Ramsey, but I'm not sure he be any good at club level, he has to win things at Man Utd, and while they may well end up looking good under GS I'm not sure they will have that assassin mentality when it comes to crucial games, I'm still hoping I'm wrong with this and we go on to win the Euros this summer.
Klopp will never go to Man Utd, he has said the only British club he will ever manage is Liverpool, if he is taking time out we may not see him for at least 1 year.
I definitely want an English manager of the national squad, I think GS has shown that a young manager with knowledge of the youth setup can really progress the national squad.
 
As much as I think Klopp/Guardiola would do very well I just can’t see either of them taking the job before they manage Germany/Spain retrospectively.

I know Pep is Catalan but he never had any issue playing for Spain.
