New Season Tickets on sale for 2024/25

I can understand both sides of the price rise argument. On the one hand we’re already quite expensive and a further increase during a cost of living crisis will be hard for some to bear. From the club’s point of view, costs have gone up and therefore they’ll feel a price rise is justified.

What I can’t understand is why they need money in by mid March. It’s not like we can spend it then! Unless it’s needed to pay wages in which case we’re fecked in the summer. They should really rethink the deadline and give people at least until the end of March so there’s another pay day before renewal.

What about the fact that the club want all of the money by the middle of March? You keep ignoring that.
Not ignoring it I haven't even acknowledged that point yet.

In terms of the timing for payment I don’t agree with it and it should be extended which I think it will.

Generaly speaking I’ve had a lot of positives to say about much of what the club has been trying to do for sometime now, but this is really poor.

Atleast last year we got some additional information that explained some of the thinking behind their strategy. This year I could see it costing them a good few thousand ST sales. I can’t think of any justification whatsoever for the timings and deadline. In terms of prices, a good chunk of the the support is paying £90 more than they were in 21/22.

I love the club, but this is a massive OG. If any fans group were considering a form of demonstration to show their dissatisfaction, I’d certainly be supportive.

Club costs go up = Season tickets go up
If its that simple, they're not considering the fact that matches are now all televised and quite easily accessed via the internet.

They all need to learn from the music industry, who for years tried to 'fight' illegal streams/downloads with threats of prison etc. Then the penny finally dropped and they realised they couldn't put 20m in jail, most of whom weren't even categorically breaking the law.

Once Spotify and others embraced 'streaming', and made it legal/affordable to do so, it totally wiped out illegal practices overnight. Sure, the artists now charge way more for live shows, because they could, and because folk often view them as 'once in a lifetime' experiences.

Football, and especially EFL clubs, really need to think on. The act of watching your football team 23 times a season is not the same as watching the Rolling Stones or whoever.

I think the future is either low attendances/high streaming figures, or high attendances at a lower cost.

I thought it was 21 games which for renewals like mine in early bird are East upper £620 - nearly £30 per game or West Upper £671 (£32 per game). Those wanting to buy new season tickets as early bird in the East and West upper are looking at £690 (£33 per game) in the East Upper or £735 (£35 per game) in the West Upper. God knows how much they are going to be after the March cut off? Circa £800 to watch the Championship drivel we have been served up at home this season! I think folk and the club could be surprised at how many say enough is enough and pick up the readily available match day tickets for the five or six more attractive fixtures at a cost of £190 to £250 a hell of a lot less than £750. The match day isn’t a ‘ritual’ for everyone and quite a few might ask themselves a serious question in the next few weeks. It is a significant hike if you miss the early bird by the way which will definitely put people off.

Ridiculous price and even more ridiculous timing. This region is struggling more than most with the cost of living crisis and now this.

After Saturdays dismal performance against Bristol City this team doesn’t exactly instill confidence that next season will be any better. What confidence can we have in player buying and ambition for moving forward? Zero in my opinion.

Very disappointing and completely out of touch with the fan base and the mood in the room atm.

Maybe but maybe not, people will always attend football matches.

Watching on the TV and being there are two totally different things, you’re talking about piracy and other things related to the music industry over a £2.50 per month rise on the season ticket cost.

Apologies if already covered earlier in this thread but it appears that the biggest increase is the £40 for the over 65's season ticket. Thats a 11.4% increase (my triple lock state pension increase will only be 8%!)
Seems like the club are trying to erode the differentials with a full price ticket
