New Season Tickets on sale for 2024/25

They've got the Gazette to put out a puff piece as further explanation.
They just keep making it worse and worse. It’s made me so angry towards those running the club that I really want it to backfire and blow up in their faces. But that would affect the team and I will always support the team. It’s a quandary in some respects. But I don’t think I’ve ever felt about this chairman the way I do at the moment. It just seems arrogant, cold, unnecessary.

Operationally the club looses a significant amount of money every year, under written by SG.therfore season tickets are already significantly subsidised. Who are people expecting to subsidise their entertainment?
When you buy a ticket you are not investing in the club, you are paying for a product.

Like most bussiness the way to reduce costs is to reduce the most significant costs that of wages. See how far we get us with recruitment if we do that if people think recruitment and buying players is poor now.

People criticise SG when he invests as he is accused of turning the club into a financial basket case, and when he doesn't invest people criticise him for having lost his edge and commitment.

The answer to all this by some a few months ago was that all he has to do is consistently make all right decisions, it's as easy as that to run a successful football club.

He has tried different approaches for success, with up and coming managers, vastly experience managers with track records, he's given club legends and ago and gone down the foreign route too and by and large backed.them.too, but no.matter which way he's always to blame. He's wasted over 200 million of his own money in trying to do.his best for the club, the town and other people's enjoyment but he is still accused of being out of touch and ripping people off.

Inflation has been high over the past 12 months and all costs will have risen and will continue to.do so next year, it seems like people have been asked on average to pay an extra £1.30 per game to do your bit to support the club. People need to make personal choice based on cost and preferences.

Communication from club could be better.

Anyway UTB and fingers crossed for a better performance and result tonight.

So what are we doing so fundamentally different as a club that requires our season tickets to be so expensive?
We are in one of the poorest areas of the country but judging by our season ticket prices you'd never guess that.

I'm not sure, but either our costs are too high, are income is too low, or people aren't being as subsidised as much as others are to attend.

If you buy a house in the area it might be cheaper than elsewhere but does your mortgage company charge you less interest becuase of where you live, do your utility companies charge you less, do the supermarkets charge ÿou less, does Cineworld charge less to watch a film.

Ideally all businesses should operate within their means. Even if the club didn't make a loss and some how managed to break even prices would still need to increase by inflation otherwise you make a loss again. If we were to make a profit, what would people expect that profit to be spent on, player purchase and wages, improving the ground or other infrastructure costs or reducing ticket prices?

I think it would be a good idea to have a universal cheap ticket for u18, but apart from that I don't know what the answer is but I personally don't expect someone else to plough more and more millions in of their own money for my pleasure.
