Like this one a lot. Cover of a song by The 1975 apparently. SWMRS(ft. FIDLAR): People (The 1975 Cover)
I actually enjoyed listening to that, nice guitar music alsoThis is nice. She is Frank Turners missus. She is also supporting him at The Empire on Tuesday.
Glad you've stuck with it. Sometimes albums take just that bit longer for you to get them don't they. a case in point was the Black Midi album last year. After 4 listens I really couldn't see why people were loving it, I thought it was rubbish. By the 6th play I'd totally changed my mind and it ended up in my top 4 albums of last yearAfter a second and third listen this is starting to really grow on me.
This album is on my list for this week with quite a few others!Beat Poetry For The Survivalist by Luke Haines & Peter Buck
The wonderful Luke Haines returns with Peter Buck in tow. On a side note if you have never read his books
you are missing a treat brilliant, hilarious, bitter and twisted. The first is the best but both are worth reading.
- Bad Vibes: Britpop and My Part in Its Downfall, 2009 (Published by William Heinemann Ltd)
- Post Everything: Outsider Rock and Roll, 2011 (Published by William Heinemann Ltd)
The Blinders are one of those bands I know I'm going to love so I've got the vinyl on pre-order. Along with Porridge Radio, 2 Rowland S Howard albums, Lewsberg, The Lovely Eggs, Car Seat Headrest, Sleaford Mods complilation, Throwing Muses, Ist Ist, One Sided Horse & Stuart Mayor. One from The Blinders album due May.
I saw Porridge Radio at the End of the Road festival last summer. They were one of the highlights.
New music (I think) with an 80s sound ... reminds me a bit of the Associates.
Something different from Perfume Genius
This is an excellent album. The Close Lobsters - Post Neo Anti (Arte Povera in The Forest of Symbols)
