Thankfully you are not in charge of recruitment. We just want a solid keeper who can save a shot or two. No bells or whistles, just a good honest shot stopper. Who cares about these showreels anyway?
Clearly not. And he may be an adequate shot stopper. Hopefully more than one or two. My point was that his showreel was a collection of somewhat fumbly saves with one terrific one, and one cross caught. Yet, it was entitled BEST Saves! Not a ringing endorsement on its own. As for who cares about these showreels, I think those involved certainly did when we bought Alves. At least his was a belter.

Zack v the future World Champs 2018!

Pretty much my favourite goalkeeper of all time. NOW RELEASE THE KITS!!

No more discrimination against gingers, drummers and goalkeepers.. we need our long sleeved padded apparel and we need it now!

Not all of us can be exposed to funding or be fashionable, we can’t all pull off red!

Black one for the sports goths and a white one for the INGLEBY BARWICK set (rolls eyes)

Not sure how I feel about that video. He didn't seem that outstanding, maybe because of the stellar work of the US defence, but when France hit the post early on it went between his hands, the ball didn't seem to stick in his enclosed hands on at least one occasion, then flicking the ball back over the bar because he was out of position, maybe he be better with being 1st choice for several months.

Excited by this news. I'd definitely put him above the other keepers we have been linked with (barring maybe Henderson, but not sure how realistic that was?)

Slightly surprised too as City are offloading their 2nd and 3rd choice so must have someone in line to come in? Wonder what Richard Wright is up to these days? 😁

They just signed Stefan Ortega to replace him, and you were close with Richard Wright... Scott Carson just extended his contract haha

Scott Carson is living the dream. He get paid a few thousand each month and every weekend off 😂

He’s on £30k per week apparently

Man City paid his £30k/week wages when he was on loan from Derby for half a season, he played 0 minutes in that season.

He then signed for £25k/week, and in 2 seasons has only played 90 minutes in the premier league (conceding three to Newcastle), and 17 minutes in the champions league.

He has two premier league winning medals, two league cup medals, and a community shield from those two years.

During his 2 and a half years, he's earned £3.38 million, which equals £31k per "playing minute", or £526 per "playing second"... This is over 100 times more than Lionel Messi.

Living the dream.

Do you not need to make a specified number of appearances anymore to qualify for a medal?

Ex-Boro Ross Turnbull would have to give his Champions League and UEFA Cup medals back if you did. Zero appearances.

I get that you get a medal for being on the bench in a cup final, as Turnbull was, but to get 2 Premier League winners medal for making one appearance over 2 seasons seems a bit of a stretch
