New Covid variant 🤢

Covid wasn’t a con but there was a lot of nonsense associated with it. Zonal lockdowns in particular, tier 2-3 and all that. Amazing some of the stuff that they thought would work, and to which everyone went along with out of moral duty despite knowing a lot of it was totally bonkers.
I don’t think they did think it would work, they just wanted to appear to be something whilst not giving a flying toss about anyone

You’ve got to remember there were many on here who grassed on their neighbours for having their granny round for Christmas dinner and wanted to deny medical treatment to anyone who opted out of a supposedly voluntary medical procedure
Name and shame them then

Never thought I would buy a test again as I had presumed it would now be just like a common cold. I felt morally obliged to test and see if I needed to isolate to protect others and also warn people that I have been with the last couple of days as they may have vulnerable parents etc.
The thing is (and this is meant as a general not a personal comment) if you have a respiratory virus, particularly if you have non-trivial symptoms, shouldn’t you feel morally obliged to isolate to protect others if you can anyway without needing a specific genetic type analysis of what the virus is?

So if tests are being used to return to society too early, they are being used to negative not to positive effect.

I’m pretty sure that it was Darlo, but it was certainly someone, that during the period when attendance at football was banned but attendance at hospitality was allowed, staged a TV screening of an FA cup tie at the ground in the clubhouse with the curtains shut. Mental.

I know from personal experience that I went to some 2nd XI County cricket match when it was just starting up again on the basis that spectators were not allowed, but “the bar is open and we have some lovely tables with a view of the pitch”.

Whatever your views on the measures that were taken to restrict us, some of the consequences were plain bonkers.

Absolutely battering me at the moment. Last time I had Covid it was just a runny nose and a raspy voice but this had floored me with beastly headaches, loss of taste/smell, fever and cramps.
It would seem it is vaccine resistant and I haven’t seen much in the media about it.
Might be worth being a bit more vigilant if you or loved ones are vulnerable.
Yeah same. Just getting over it now, 4 days in bed feeling dreadful including a really bad coughing episode which lasted about 4 hours.

That’s the 3rd time I’ve had it, and by far the worst.
