New club crest coming!

Maintaining the current lion is the best way of allowing a bit of continuity from the last 2 badges,
It also looks far better than the "simplified" lion.

Assuming the outcome isn't just to go back to the 1986 badge with a date change, that is.
 
Is this the first step in operation ‘connect with fans so they stop moaning about our obscene ticket prices’?

Going back to the old crest whilst charging ridiculous prices just doesn’t wash for me I’m afraid.
 
For me there should be a special badge and strip for the anniversary year only based on the clubs original badge and strip.

Then, after that, introduce a new club badge to be used for the next however long. We should also settle on a kit design and colours for home and away strips eg all red with white hoop and white trim (collar, shorts, socks) for home strip and then something like blue/black stripe away shirt with black shorts / blue socks or whatever. That way the strip is instantly recognised as and synonymous with Boro. The 3rd (change) strip can be whatever the mood takes creatively on a year by year basis.

Badge should incorporate club name or initials, red Lion rampant, 1876, and Erimus (town motto) and possibly transporter. Doesn’t need to be too busy though.

Sadly I am no graphic designer so can’t knock up / mock up any of this but be sure it all looks fantastic in my minds eye. 😊

Why anyone would want to recreate the first post-1986 badge is beyond me.

The club have already reverted back to having our kits made by Errea. How many more backward steps do we need to take?
 
Change the lion to roary, have him grinning and pointing like Tony the Tiger and replace his greeeeeat saying with Parmoooo.

And stick the date on somewhere. Jobs a good un
 
I like the shield in a circle designs with both transporter and three ships at top. Can't decide which I prefer. Leaning towards ships at moment.
