Netflix series recommendation needed

White Lines is a decent watch

If you haven’t watched it, the first series of Casa del Papel (Money Heist in English) is magnificent

Fear city - really good
The last dance was excellent
I’m watching the computer games one now that’s decent.
Worlds most wanted- brand new that’s good
One off 45 mins- Rubix cube doc. Unreal how fast they are

Dark is brilliant.
Money Heist......La Casa Dr Papal also brilliant
The Woods looks good but not watched yet.
Really enjoying "O sabor das margaridas" which I think translates to Bitter Daisies(??)
Just finished The Rain which was excellent.
My mate raved about a Polish series called The Mire but not watched it yet.

All of the above have subtitles.

Schitt's Creek. Literally just binge watched 6 series. You need to give it a few episodes to get into it (they're only 20 minutes each) but it's one of my favourite comedies for a long time. Catherine O'Hara is brilliant in it.

Been watching a bunch of European crime series lately and highly recommend Occupied. Other worthy mentions:
The Valhalla Murders
Deadwind

Just watched the first series of The Break too which was pretty decent.

Ref Snowpiercer - I preferred the film - all set on a long train in the future. The Earth is permanently frozen at minus 80 degrees, because of climate change. the only people left alive are on the train that never stops. Everyone has a set place on the train depending on how much money they have paid. Movement from carriage to carriage is near impossible for most passengers. Life is desperate at the tail end carriage of the train and like a 5 star hotel near the front.

Ref film to watch on Netflix - the Nightingale set on Van Diemans Island (now Tasmania) in 1825 when the Island was mainly a penal colony. The Army and the white Settlers wiped out all of the native population over a 10 year period. Prisoners were deposited there from the slums of London and Dublin, abused by the Army Guards and Prison overseers. Settlers were also dumped there from other areas of Australia and struggled to make a living. Not a horror film but horrific and based on real events which made it even more horrific. They were not the Good Old Days.
