neil warnock - under investigation from F.A.- asked player for £6,000 a month to play - claim.

Not a free pass. But that was an incredible achievement - every bit as good as Terry Venables saving us from the drop from the Premier. In both cases we were going down. And going down fast. Warnock saved us and at the same time took massive earners off the wage list. A brave move but one that gave the club financial stability for the future.
It doesn’t even come close to TV keeping us up.

I can very much see Neil Warnock saying something like this to his players in jest and and I can see him taking money of players like when he was challenged to a bowling game and then he whipped out his personalised ball and wiped the floor with them. Now doubt there are historical practises that will no doubt be frowned upon in todays game that older managers would be involved in.. raw eggs in half pints of sherry as pre-match drink springs to mind in this respect.

I'm very much grateful for the work that Neil Warnock did both on an off the pitch for our club, there can be no doubt that he saved us from relegation, lowered the wage bill, brought in players that that were financially suitable to our needs and managed the club throughout a very difficult time bringing a much needed smile to the faces of many fans.

Whilst I disagree with his political leanings I would not use that to throw him under the bus for the antics of a wholly corrupt government. Many folks out there did what they thought was best for themselves and their families, influenced in no small part by a horrendous smear campaign waged against Jeremy Corbyn by the mainstream media and right wing MPs alike (many of which were Labour MPs voted in to represent the wants and needs of their constituents.. which they failed to do)

did not realise it was only 8 points out 8 games (thought it would of been more ) which is hardly an incredible achievement to be honest and don't think the squad was that bad when he took over, think job he did is a wee bit overrated

just a touch yes. he didn't manage to win a home match in that 'saved us from relegation' run. In fact he he lost all 4 games.

In fact his home record was won 15, drew 5 and lost 16...! 16 home defeats in 36 games is awful.
For comparison with virtually the same players Wilders record was won 10, drew 1 and lost 4.

I’m grateful for him coming in and achieving the required points to keep us up.
I found his press conferences entertaining and refreshing for a period, during a difficult time.

But **** me, the way some go on you’d think it was Guardiola guiding us to the title!
His achievement really wasn’t that big of a deal.
I dare say most available managers would have come in and probably achieved similar, with that group of players. Not exactly difficult to better Woody’s organisation/tactics etc.
Sad that these allegations seem to be gathering pace, but to be honest, not surprised.

Same as Jack Charlton who came to the club in a caretaker role at the back end of the 1983-84 season & secured the teams safety to fight another season in the 2nd division

But then again anyone could have done what big Jack did, as did Neil

The point is both managers came to the club while we were heading for the drop & both managers successfully acheived their objective

Hindsight is a great thing.
How else are we supposed to review his time here?
He won 4 out of 8 games which is not bad.
But as it turned out, he only needed 8 points. So to rewrite history by claiming he performed miracles to save us from oblivion is ignoring the benefit of hindsight.
Oh, and to claim he was amazing because he didn't charge kids for signed photos? Give over.

Hey erimus. Will have to agree to disagree, I am not better than that 😊.

We have a different opinion on warnock. He lost me with his wallpaper jibe at boro fans.
I dont think it was a jibe at Boro fans mind, but fair enough, we'll have to agree to disagree

Glad I got a signed photo towards my collection before he left
