Neil Warnock U Turn

Really chuffed about Roberts but still think we need another forward. It's a helluva long season for only three recognised strikers on your books.
 
If it means having an attacking playmaker to provide chances right now, or a fourth forward who probably won’t start the game which would you have?.

Anyway, still time to bring another player or two in.

Pulis' legacy that. Braithwaite may have been an attempt at a Ramirez replacement - when he could be arsed, he was nearly there.
Pulis getting the job put paid to having a number 10 although you have to give him credit where Adama is concerned.
 
I'm not so sure we do need a fourth striker. Depends how you play. If it's 433 only one can play anyway.

Even if you go two up front and lose two of them you can still play 1 and then have Tavernier or Roberts playing just behind. We had 4 under Pulis once Braithwaite left on loan and he was constantly moaning we had too many. And that included the permanently crocked Gestede.

Karanka tended to only have 3 in the squad too.

So yeah, I think a number 10 makes more sense. Better balance to the squad and more players will get to play more games. I think a 4th choice striker is rarely going to play. It's a nice to have, but there are more pressing areas.

Completely agree. There was a period during Monks' reign when he tried him as a no10 playing behind Britt and we won 4 games on the bounce. He needed to persevere with Braithwaite playing behind Britt for me but he didn't.

Same thing happened under Pulis. Start of the season he had Braithwaite playing off Britt and we were playing good football and winning games of course. Then he brings in Hugill, we switch to 4-5-1 and Braithwaite gets shafted out wide.

Although Braithwaite didn't have the best attitude, he was also misused during his time here.

Yeh I was a little surprised with NWs comments on Browne. I'm hoping Browne will stay because i think he could be useful off the bench and allows allows NW to change the shape a little. It seems like Warnock rates him just can't offer him much football in the system he plays and doesn't want to hold him back.
