Apparently Neil Warnock has now revised His plans to bring in another out and out striker this window.
He is saying that 3 strikers is enough for now.
He now feels a number 10 type will be more beneficial, and ‘its likely to be a premiership loan signing’.
Basically bringing in the goalscoring attacking midfielder that we have been missing for years.


I am delighted at this decision.
And also that the man identified will hopefully come from the premiership without costing the club a fortune in a transfer fee.

Happy with it like. But still think a fourth striker would be good aswell
 
He's clearly been reading this forum. We have introduced the art of 'inception' 😂

To be honest you'd have to be pretty blind not to see this. We really don't have one 'match winner' who can just produce one moment of magic or even win a free kick or penalty.

I would still love Roberts back. I think he did enough to suggest he's that player. I don't know what the finances are though (I imagine wages will be a few quid. Also possible loan fee and fitness concerns).

He says he wants a 'Roberts type'. That sounds like the volkswagon advert 'it's like a golf' 😂. You want something like a Golf then get a Golf👍

He would know the demands of Warnock and have no issues settling in etc (that's presuming he enjoyed his time with us? ). I've never really heard anything from him.

I would really have loved Luke Freeman but didn't realise he'd gone to Forest. He was class at QPR as that No10 type.
 
Yippee, at last, no hoofball to a lanky striker but using a creative spark.
Certainly need another CB as well, Hall could well be the new Ayala unfortunately, we were warned to be fair.
 
They’re had to find that’s the problem . Bear in mind in the championship he’ll get kicked to hell so will need to be wise to the champo.
 
In Neil Warnock's chat yesterday he say he hoped to bring in one player but I didn't think he specified which position. He did said that Ashley (Fletcher) was virtually fit now though.

He said we would then manage until the January window.

I don't think it's a case of the much hackneyed (U turn), but more that Covid19 and the transfer market generally not being suitable for our budget.

But are they though, as I think this is abit of a myth that is used to justify our previous rather lopsided transfer policy of buying endless def midfielders.

We are talking about a creative attacking central mf not a unicorn, other teams seem to have no issues getting them.
 
The midfield signings have been very 'same old same old' and 'they put in a shift'.

Clayton / Howson / Mcnair / Saville / Mikel are all very similar. You need at least one to have a bit of magic about him. I was hoping Tav was gonna save us a few quid. He's just looking more of a grafter these days.

That's why Wing stood out. He wasnt amazing (although 7 goals is a great return). He was just different as in always looking forward and having a shoot on site policy.
 
I think we all hoped that Wing would do that job, after a good first season when he was grafting and shooting from the edge of the box, slipping a through ball through etc.

But he hasn’t.

“Where did you get that?”.

What does it matter ?.

Would it have helped if I said Warnock told me himself ?.

Of if I had said, I read it on Newsnow ?.

I would suggest you read some of the newspaper reports today - particularly Joe Nicholson in the Hartlepool Mail - the press is embargoed after press conferences until 6am the following day. Have a read of what Joe says..

I just wanted to read the article. As I wanted to see what he said about as I was interested as a boro fan. Nothing stupid about it at all. Like I said, you clearly are very sensititve. Relax a bit mate

Thank you, I just got up early today and read the reports.
As nobody else had posted this I thought I would.
I thought it might have lifted others as it lifted me.
