Warnock saying he couldn't get hold of Bausor today. Seems a bit bizarre? What is this guy doing and why does Steve Gibson trust him. Its his job to speak to each other.

Ever since we've had Bausor I've never felt confident of getting deals over the line. Things just seem to drag on and on. I'm not sure how much of that is down to Bausor or our lack of ££ but it's frustrating nevertheless.

Again zero cohesion between every level of the club. Scraping a few quid together to sign lower league domestic players whilst taking a 7 million gamble on an unknown South American that clearly isn’t the signing this manager will ever be able to fully utilise. All of this two months on from releasing over 20 million worth of players and cutting costs for the last 4 years.
It’s painfully obvious those at the top, Gibson included, have no idea how to run a sustainable football club, we have changed our strategy and focus pretty much every summer so it’s no surprise none of this is really working.
End result yet again is we’re about to go into another season woefully unprepared.

People panicking that we might not sign players that most of us probably hadn't heard of six months ago. We have a decent first eleven, all being well a few youngsters and lads we have taken a punt on from non-league can step up (otherwise why bother?!). Sure we wil have other options if Payero doesn't come and we probably have a few striker targets in mind. It's about getting the right players not just bodies imho!

If you're not feeling great about yourself, read the Gazette comments on Facebook on this very matter. You'll soon realise your life isn't too bad. There's people there who reckon they're fully briefed on the finances of every deal, who's to blame for it failing, and why they failed. It's my go to place when I'm feeling down.

Extremely negative viewpoint there mister.

Its not Bausor. The ridiculous assumption its all his fault is infantile at best. Its all about the M O N E Y

He has a budget and he has to try and eek out a deal within that parameter. Any team with an extra couple of millions, better wages and the freedom to spend, of course is just going to gazump the Boro. I can't believe I'm having to explain this.

Boro are a badly run club. Have been for many years. If you continue to be blinkered and defend them fine, but you can’t then say lack of finances etc are to blame. Because who wasted that money? The same people you’re defending. Bausor is a calamity. Give Warnock a tenner and he’ll get you up, instead he’s off sunning himself flirting with players they have no intention of signing - at best naive that they will.

True. I'd gut the lot out and start again

They aren't as well run as some I'l give you that, but better than a lot....Derby, Sheffield Wednesday, Bolton, Portsmouth and Sunderland off the top of my head......truth in football for all but the top half dozen is most spend more than they bring in just to try and compete, the sure fire way to get rid of a few million quid is by investing in a football club!

Bausor is an employee doing the job the owner asks of him. The buck does not stop with Bausor. If Bausor was incompetent and is still in a job, what does that tell you about his employer? Bausor is likely working under strict financial boundaries set by Gibson.

The reason why we are where we are is not because of issues today it is because of historical failures from the past. I could put a case together about saying it started by over committing on spending under McClaren, our period of success that was clearly built on financial quicksand. It brought our trophy and a European final and my gratiitude, but was ultimately unsustainable financially it appears. The buck always rests with the top dog not his employees.

Currently he appears to me to be at least having his ducks in a row and has the club in a better place than previously. Success needs a solid foundation, the rot has been stopped it appears and I thank Gibson for that and the fact we have a club at all. Can we start moving forward, time will tell, but I don’t expect miracles this season unlike some fans, I don’t expect top 6 in our financial plight. The finances seem to be improving but the Muniz deal falling through has let the cat out of the bag that we have some money. His next managerial appointment will be his most important. He needs to get that right next summer to keep moving forward.

We’re going for it but within a realistic budget. Warnock, Bausor, Gibson or anyone else can’t perform miracles. It’s up to the players we do sign and the ones in our current squad to step up to the mark.

At our level, missing out on any player isn’t the end of the world. We’re not after Harry Kane with maybe 1 or 2 alternatives at his level in world football. We’re looking at a pool of probably hundreds of strikers who could improve our team and who are within our budget. Miss out on 1 and you move on to the next.
