Neil Bausor

Our decline has coincided with the era of billionaire owners taking over clubs throughout all of the leagues. We simply can’t compete on the level we used to. It’s about time some of our fans understood that.
But Burnley, Brentford and Norwich can?

I'm on Warnock's case based on his time with us which has been bang average, and not a great deal better (if at all) than that Pulis.

One was the anti-christ, the other seems to walk on water and carry the entire club on his back according to some fans.

If it wasn't for Warnock we would have been relegated to League One. That's why he still gets my support.

It’s not because he’s from the area. It’s because without him, we would never have had those memories and all our kids would be supporting Newcastle, Leeds or one of the Manchester teams.

Whilst that’s true, it is equally true that we haven’t adapted to that and implemented any kind of long term strategy based on our strengths. We simply haven’t developed in any way. We’ve gone from being able to buy our way out of trouble to being financially limited and yet we seemingly haven’t put in place any strategy or planning to mitigate that. Rather we have compounded our weakness in terms of managerial appointments and recruitment predominantly. I think we have been frankly woeful in those departments and squandered any chance of developing decent foundations.

I didn’t say promotion is impossible and obviously we could have done better. It’s just a lot more difficult now to become an established Premier League team and it requires a lot more investment than it used to. Burnley and Norwich have both had more income than us in recent years. Largely due to parachute payments. Brentford have done exceptionally well, but they’re an anomaly and their gambles have paid off more often than not. We can aim to do something similar, but if it was easy, every club would have done it.

I am pretty sure he will be gone after this season whatever happens promotion or not. I just hope Gibson has a strategy and plans ahead with due diligence regarding any new head coach whenever that is needed and, that must take into account the squad Neil will have left behind.

Warnock upstairs and Bamba in charge……

Thats just not correct, our decline has absolutely nothing to do with other clubs. Its our choice of management and shocking recruitment that have cost us over the last few years. Primarily signing average aging players on huge contracts with no sell on value. Plenty of clubs are doing far better with a lower budget

It is possible to appreciate the good work Gibson has done but also criticise his mistakes, think some people dont realise you can do both

It never ceases to amaze me the confidence with with which people are able to comment on a person’s performance in role without having the first clue about how they do their job.

This is a great example. Bausor is no longer in South America. He travelled back all day yesterday. May have had something to do with Warnock not being able to get hold of him.
Whenever this subject comes up you're always very quick to come to the chief exec's defence, which, of course, you have every right to do. Just out of interest though, why's it so important to you and how do you form your view? Genuine question.

Is it true that Gibson doesnt actually own the stadium and hes gained 60M from selling land at Hurworth for building a large number of expensive executive homes?
[Just listening to some gossip lyke...]

Did Mel Morris include our stadium in Derbys accounts too then as they are almost identical 😁

Neil Bausor makes a good scapegoat. All clubs loose out on targets. You win some and loose some, carry on and don't dwell. More important things going on in life.
It's more we do this every window chase unattainable targets like this now European striker that will "shock supporters". Last year we chased yannic all summer didn't get him to Jan. Under pulis we chased targets that never arrived. It happening far to much really.

Maybe Bauser will bring a player back with him from Brazil , or the signed paperwork for a player he has agreed a deal with .
Soon see , they said they were talking to a few players out there , Muniz could have been a smokescreen to another like Pedro , Cleber or Babi . All 3 have more experience than Muniz .
Maybe I live in hope , soon see .
Fulham are re negotiating the deal so he has not signed for them. Could be a twist yet ?
