Negativity is now okay?

Hilarious/Interesting that some mocked the concerns from others on the board - citing undue negativity … “Back the club!”

Now it seems to be norm, which it should be. If there are concerns and worries they should be voiced and debated.

When our own manager is saying it though then it’s not negativity it’s concern.

Wilder is only saying what we are all feeling.

To deny that is delusional.

Stuff has got to happen. We’re light on bodies in the middle of the park and nothing on the bench to come on when we lose Jonny so we’ve got to shift Paddy. Everyone knows where we’re at.

"But still we need, and as you know, the objective was always to get one/two midfield players in before the close of play Thursday and that will have to get ramped up in the next 48 hours. I’ve been in contact with Neil [Bausor] and Kieran [Scott] and they know exactly where I’m at and where we’re at.”

Btw - Not my words or any other posters Chris wilders our manager.

Naah, I’m going to wait until we have played Sunderland, Blackpool, Cardiff, Rotherham then bottom of the table Coventry, if we are not near top 6 after these games, negativity will be justified.

Everyone can see we’re short, even if they won’t admit it. The manager has stated as such and he will be rolled out tomorrow to be the sacrificial cow, having to deliver the same old cliches about it’s a difficult market, we tried our best but we couldn’t quite get it over the line etc etc - he will be secretly seething i suspect. He might even have a little dig at recruitment or even the chairman, either way it won’t be a surprise if he leaves to take up a better offer somewhere else before the season ends, and Gibson only has him set to blame if he does.

To be fair, you’ve been the worst at shooting other people down over recent days.

You need CW to say something before you are concerned? You can’t form your opinion?
We’re playing great stuff, we’ve been unlucky……
It would be very easy to bump numerous posts.

If the squad is as it is at this moment then there'll be a number of players who'll need to step up.
Not addressing the midfield issue seems to be bordering on being negligent though, but we don't know who we've approached or how much we've tried.
On paper we'll struggle with the midfield options we have and suspension and injury could be the death knell for the season.

It's a disgrace we've made over 25 million in player sales this window and spent nowt. We charge the highest ticket prices in the league have the highest average attendances after Sunderland yet we show zero ambition in the transfer market. After saying we gonna sign marquee players

No, the time for judgement will be in March when our lack of a midfield has left us 15 points away from the play-offs. Nothing will dampen my support on match day, but I am very disappointed by the dealings in the transfer market when I believed we had genuine professionals leading our charge.

I prefer reality
The positive thinker isn’t concerned with the truth, nor is the negative thinker. Both are just speaking out what is already there in their minds, the reality is that anyone can, and will beat anyone in the championship, there is 46 games to play of which we have played 7, we have 3 defeats, Fulham won the league last year with 10 defeats.

Yeah, but they had a striker who banger in an insane amount of goals and quality footballers all over the pitch.

I’m not sure we’re better off than we were last season.

And put our record from now across the season and we would be around 20 defeats…… somewhat dilutes whatever point you were hoping to make

If we go with the squad we have built to date, then, as an SC holder, I feel like I been duped, frankly I feel like Wilder himself has been duped too. I once referred to the owner as the emporer with his new clothes. I thought he had learned from a previously harsh lesson, when he went down the Scott and Wilder route, but it appears as I type, right now, he hasn’t.

I now feel Gibson is happy for Boro to be a well run Championship club with little ambition, and our support is taken for granted. I will be amazed if Wilder will be our manager for much longer as he hasn’t been supported in the way he told us he expected to be.

There is nothing wrong with doing just this by the way, providing it comes with a large dose of honesty. To infer one thing at or around SC sale time and then do something far different is somewhere on a scale of misleading to fraudulent.

I have worked with CEO’s that promise the earth and deliver pluto. I will forever be grateful for his financial support of Boro, but I no longer have faith in his honesty and ambition ‘to make Boro great again’. I appreciate this will anger and perplex some of you, but it is heartfelt based on my love of Boro and desire to get to the Premier League.
