Do not give into strikes
But we can accept that huge corporations can pay virtually zero tax, and shareholders can demand ever increasing profits at the expense of the workers on whose shoulders they stand whilst flouting the rule of law and parading their obscene wealth? We are not French, honestly you can not give into strikes in my opinion, if you do everyone will be at it
No we are not. One is a society where working class values matter, are defended and supported which leads to a more just and equitable realignment of wealth. The other is a proto facist sh*thole where the rights of just not workers, but anyone who doesn't directly influence government or own the means of production, are routinely trashed with value taken out of the economy to fuel the myth of a society where "work pays".We are not French, honestly you can not give into strikes in my opinion, if you do everyone will be at it

forcing the government to step in and drive a reduction in fuel taxation within 48 hours?
stikes like that you mean?
I wont say this often, but in cases like this, you have to admire the French ( and that feels dirty in my mouth) they get to a point where they wont take any more shiat from their government, and are willing to do something about it.
Vive la France.
