Name a shop that is closed in Teesside that you love to bring back.

It was the Great American Soda Bar
Wasn't it the Great American Drugstore with the Great American Soda Bar as a part of it?
I remember parents used to be able to dump their kids off in there while they did the shopping as an added bonus?🤣

No Busters was part of the mall, porky's was round the corner...opp Jockers
A couple I remember when I was little:

Our Price

Stationary Box

Franchy’s/Franchies in Fairfield next to the school which was a news agents I think but everyone bought pick n mix from there. Was always packed before and after school!
Whatever happened to stationary box…

Wow - wasn't Nelson Steet pulled down in the 1960s.

Reeds was open in the 1970s it was mainly Sports goods, but I remember getting my school tie and blazer badge and blazer (not Eton).
Reeds Sports also had a shop in Redcar on Station Road. I loved to go in there particularly to buy my Subbuteo teams. I still have my Boro one in its original box from the 70s.

Merediths and Sparks, both bakers. Baums, a shop stuck in the early 20th century with clothes on display in glass drawers. Is Rea's cafe still about? The Porthole cafe near Albert Park.

What is it with barbers? I used to get my haircut at Rays on Clarendon Rd back in the 70s. He always had fantastic jokes and anecdotes. Often had the shop in stitches. Nowt to do with his shaving technique I might add.

Manchester House - so long as I can still get my Oxblood DM boots for £6.99

Raines Dairy , corner of Worcester Street & Crescent Road - still the best ice cream I've ever had the pleasure of consuming
