My top 3 manager preferences

Surely I get a chance to maange given I called this back in late July/August (called that Wilder had lost the players) ?

Go on then you can have a role. I'd suggest you could be in charge of fan relations and can use your powers of perception to tip @Diego off if you sense they are turning against him. Likewise if you see him spending more time staring wistfully at his poster of Duncan Ferguson than on the training pitch then get Gibbo told and we can move him on and go down the list to @newyddion. Mind you, I'm not sure Maddo would be ready to pronounce a 100% newy signed Boro XI.

If we don't stick to our usual thing of not talking to managers at other clubs, I wouldn't mind Russell Martin, the Swansea manager. He seems to accept the resources he has, and tries to make the best of it. Plays possession football and looks to improve players and the club. Unlikely but would be my choice.

Which premier league player is coming to the end of his career and fancies a shot at management Southgate/Rooney/Lampard/Gerrard/Robson style?

I am past caring.
We are no longer about "sporting glory", we are about tossing it off in the Championship and occasionally flirting with the playoffs. I'd imagine there's any number of managers that can achieve those aims and spin the "we were close..." mantra until they inevitably get the sack.
