It's not just a Festool Domino, it's a game changer. This is the sort of maths you tell the other half. Is that an £800 festool domino jointer haha?
Fantastic workmanship that Norman.Earlier this month I bought some rough sawn planks of oak that I made the two items below out of. I've really enjoyed getting my head around making these and following the plans for the coffee table and adjusting them to the size the wife wanted. I made my own plans for the lamp stand. The wood cost me £305, the varnish (Rubio Monocoat) I used cost another £45 and the draw handle was from a set I bought for a previous project. So all in, it cost me £350 to make a solid oak coffee table and lamp stand and two weeks of my time in the shed.
I have overestimated on the amount of wood I bought and could make another coffee table out of it. I would rather be looking at it than looking for it.
I've even made the lamp sitting on the stand.

I was wondering how to describe the style, I think that's spot on.Very impressed. Like a bit of mid century modern.
I could be interested in this but you need to remember it is only a hobby.Looks quailty. I’ve been looking for someone to make me a custom sideboard with a hinged open top for my Rega turntable and record collection inside.. I keep scouring marketplace for sideboards that can be maybe converted to a flip top.
