My first Brexit thread

By paying the lowest wages possible instead of a fair wage yes

so the truth of the remainers finally comes out. They want migrant workers here to ensure lowest wages possible are paid to keep costs down for themselves. Interesting

No, the truth is I predicted we would all be poorer. I was just pointing out it has already started. Can't understand why, except from sheer unthinking bloody minddedness , you've want your own country to be poor.

We've forced economic sanctions on ourselves and it's pure folly

Your poorer because you have to pay a little extra for you cleaning. Society will be better for it when companies who have exploited EU migrants for years have to step up and pay proper wages. Less people on benefits, more tax intake, more wages to invest in local business, more goods bought bringing in higher VAT in take. All good

Sorry just do not see that as any form of argument for remaining. Oh well if we leave all these low paid workers will have to go and will cost us money. I’m happy to pay a little extra for a fairer society

So you ARE happy that we will all be poorer then? I'm less sanguine, as will people already struggling. I'm glad you've finally admitted we'll be financially worse off during Brexit. It's been difficult for Breixteers to acknowledge.

You have to be an idiot to keep using the farmer argument as if it makes it look like you are in the right. Farming is the perfect example of why unskilled immigration is a bad thing. The only way we can get fruit picked at minimum wage is importing people which is basically admitting that only the most desperate would do that job, in those conditions for that wage. Really, wages should be rising in that sector to compensate for it being a horrible job to do. You are advocating mass exploitation in order to keep the middle class in subsidised fruit and veg.

As for brexiteers being the first to complain about rising fruit and veg prices; how can that be possible when remainers have been complaining about it for 5 years already.

This is a classic case of someone spouting off without looking at the bigger picture and just how wrong it actually makes them look.

That's an entirely ludicrous post. You'll see, as food prices will rise. That is an inevitable fact of farming losing it's workforce. I can't understand how you can't see that.

I think the fact you use a line as asinine as keeping the "middle class" in fruit and veg shows you up quite badly.

by employing and paying them?
But not too much though eh because that makes you poorer. Perhaps if paying a few extra quid a month for a cleaner stretches your finances, you're not really in a financial position to be employing a cleaner. You could just do your own cleaning, you could even pay yourself a small wage you feel is acceptable

Yet you entirely ignore the point about it affecting other industries. I was using my situation as an example of it begining to affect people financially.

I totally get that you'd prefer to ignore the point because, for whatever reason, you'd just rather personally attack me. However this shows you up as being rather petty and does nothing to counter my arguement.

If that's the way you want to be then fine.

What is the problem with food prices rising if they are only low because staff are being exploited due to such low wages? This is how the economy is rebalanced. Moving money from the rich through higher prices to the poor through increased wages.

Have you ever considered that it might be how you come across that is the reason for my responses? And I'm not personally attacking you, I'm questioning what you post. You always accuse people of missing or ignoring your point. Perhaps it's because you don't articulate your points very well. Just a thought

Using aspects of my personal life, on two separate threads IS personally attacking someone. Especially when you choose to ignore the countless post where I expanded on my opening post for clarity
