MSF Chair Standing Down

I was witness to what went on on the meeting thread.
Suddenly you think RF are beyond reproach?

As Rob said, might be a good time to let dust settle.
Of course not mate. I just think there's a few comments which aren't fair on that. I dont think a member of RF was involved in that thread though..

I'm happy to see how it goes going forward, but that needs to be reciprocal because I've seen RF gets the dogs abuse on here and nothing be said from yourself or other admin and yet when something like this has happened, it's seen as worse than dirt.

Twitter is a free for all so I can't comment on anything from there, but I hope the new lead of the group is someone with a more transparent approach.

I'm glad you've also taken board feedback on board, and discuss is the correct word. It needs to be a board consensus and not a (in the nicest way possible) Rob view, which wrongly or rightly is how some see it as (again probably due to the transparency issue). Is there opportunity for people from the board to put themselves forward to represent the board?
Oh yes - most definitely so. Going forward. If we have a thread of questions then it should be simple to ask off the list.

Ok. But you can't assert your right to be critical of MSF or Rob or whoever and whatever ... and I mean "you" plurally not just personally .... and then get upset that people take a critical view of you/RF or whatever.

And my personal view is that RF or any other fans group are better served by sticking together, acting collectively, making statements collectively and taking collective responsibility .... even if you aren't entirely in agreement on every point. As a union or unions would be talking to an employer. And you keep disagreements in the meeting room. Just my view as an old campaigner.

I'd hope that, going forward, this is the approach. It's less spectacular and confrontational but, long term, it's a tried and tested way to get results without unnecessary fall out.

RF had people calling them nazis on here and had a certain admin kinda agreeing along that narrative. Including publishing things slagging rf in the fanzine..

In regards to the rest I'd agree however RF left than union, after being left high and dry by that union, previously and left to fight alone.
I'm not trying to drag up old points and hope all can work together and 'work as a union' I.e best for the fans, but that's two ticketing occasions that have caused the current issues.

FP - things have moved on really quickly. We are trying to look forward now and put the very recent past behind us. You can help that you know.
